Think he’ll take 2-3 M per year? I don’t think Theo will hire someone with that much experience

Theo wants a guy to play the percentages Theo wants. Really doubt Girardi is that guy.

yeah I don't see Theo going with Girardi. I think it will be Ross. The guys on the team love and respect him.

It will be super cool when his underlings refer to him as Rossi.

I don't know if it is worse to treat him with such familiarity or that they gave him a nickname requiring absolutely no creativity or knowledge of the bearer that only a hockey player could love

Honestly, if Theo really wanted to crack the whip, bring in Buck Showalter for 2 years hahaha. See how that would taste.

He has no clue. He just wants to be able to come back in the future and say "see I told you he was going to suck." That is what pittmike does.

I have mixed feelings. I definitely think the potential is there to be good. But I worry a bit about a guy with no experience who is such close friends with guys on the team.

Very Bears-like. We need change but we like our continuity. All internal promotions and your guy as manager.

C'mon now. The offense was broken, and they brought in the mighty Descalso to fix it! And a new hitting coach! And a new hitting coach again!

For all the winning thats happened and all the talent the team has on paper, you Cubs fans have every right to be very 'fustrated'

They really needed a voice outside the organization, I don't agree with this. I would have gone with Estrada.

Ehhh. Remember when Wannstedt was the GOT TO HAVE HIM wunderkind hire and he wasn’t very good . People were ready to fire Martinez in May. There’s no way knowing who is going to be any good or not .

They are basically standing pat, as I predicted. Sure, there will be changes, but on the edges.
