Haven't heard much about the coaching staff. I am assuming Ross will get to pick his own guys for the staff. Maybe he will bring in John Lackey to be pitching coach

I'm guessing everyone is staying except Loretta.

Joe may be allowed to take one coach. My guess would be Butterfield.

The hitting and pitching coaches will stay, including Borzello and Strode.

I'm intrigued who Ross wants as his bench coach. Maybe somebody from his Atlanta days.

Butterfield was the base running and infield fielding coach I believe. Russell, Bote, Bryant, all regressed defensively and we know about the putrid baserunning. He can go.

Not convinced Hottovy is more than a guy who can read spreadsheets. I can't get around the whole Carl Edwards fiasco in spring training. Lets make a pitcher who can't throw strikes attempt a more complicated delivery, one that was illegal to begin with. The pitching regressed as well, outside of Darvish. Hottovy can go.

Hitting coach, don't really care. Of more importance is the Cubs need to alter the line up a little bit, more contact hitters. After a hot finish Schwarber's value is probably as high as its ever been, use him as trade bait. Maybe a Colavito-Kuenn type trade (for you old timers out there).

And you have to hire a bench coach who was a manager (since Ross has no experience). Heard on the radio a guy like John Farrell, he might be a good choice.
