Crawford is about a replacement-level NHL coach. I think his last head coaching gig was a year or two in Dallas with those Stars teams that always finished 9th. I don't feel great about it, but consider the alternative.

In case anyone didn’t notice, Schmaltz has 11 points in 10 games for Arizona this season. He had 14 pets in 17 games for them last season. Everyone claimed this trade was a huge victory for Bowman but with Perlini being a bust and Strome looking lost to start the season, this trade is looking better and better for the Coyotes.
