I've been pleasantly surprised by Jamaal Williams. He's slow but he gets results.

The Eagles game definitely would've been different with Williams in there for short yardage situations.

This is by far the best he’s ever looked but I still don’t trust him.

They got a good thing going.

See I thought the Packers got really good again because Aaron Rodgers is an all-time great and Mike McCarthy was an genius. It's actually because they get to listen to rap music at practice now.

Quote:
When prominent team figures would approach him during training camp and communicate that some players were feeling worn down, the Packers might go through a session without pads. When the Smiths told him that the third-down montages and blaring music that are standard in most NFL stadiums were noticeably absent from Lambeau, LaFleur made those videos a game day staple.

"The stadium in the little Midwestern industrial town didn't feel like all the other ones. We fixed that so now it does!"

Building a culture is a good thing. The anecdotes about the team dinners were informative too.

Antarctica has had a lot of bad thoughts on the Packers this season. He should stick to bad thoughts on the Bears.

His White Sox posts are generally quite good. Just about all of his other posts, not so much.

Amos ended numerous plays last night with his sure tackling. I think they were mostly plays where the Chiefs got a first down but he was able to minimize the damage to a fairly short gain. Dix would have stood there until someone else made the tackle 20 yds down the field.

HHCD would've taken a poor angle to avoid having to even fake a tackle

HHCD: 32 solo tackles 2 int (1td) 1 fumble rec

AA: 31 solo tackles 1 int 0 fumble rec

I suppose in some universe Amos is playing better this year

In our universe Amos is playing better than HHCD. Lol @ using those three stats to evaluate players though.

Tackles is an imperfect but decent refutation of the two previous posts about Amos superiority at tackling.

Go ahead, you have the floor. Show me the stat showing Amos being superior.

With that dumb logic you are also saying that 2018 (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky > 2018 Rodgers.

I don't think there is a perfect stat to compare DB's. I think the fact that every Packers fan is happy with Amos and the team is much better than it was with Haha speaks for itself. But maybe the entire football watching world is wrong and HHCD is actually better than Amos despite the results indicating the opposite.

You say that even as I present to you results that refute your statement.

Packers fans have had an irrational opinion of Dix for years.

It only takes one crazy owner to give a bad contract. Amos found one.

The results you presented don't refute my statement. You're making what should be an easily recognizable mistake - Unless the two played the exact same amount of snaps, had the exact same amount of targets thrown at them, and played the same position in the same scheme - then comparing their total tackles is irrelevant. The Packers defense is much better than it was with HHCD. The Bears defense is worse by every measure this year than it was last year. The eye test confirms both of these things.

Using tackles is really imperfect and a very poor refutation if you get the number wrong. Amos has 38 solo tackles.

How bad has holding out gone for Gordon? Since he returned to the Chargers in Week 5, he has averaged 2.5 yards per carry and 2.7 yards per reception. His most notable play was fumbling away a would-be winning touchdown at the goal line. Over his four games in the lineup, the Chargers have become the first team since 1946 to run for fewer than 40 yards in four consecutive games.

I look forward to Gordon and Ekeler running for a combined 180 yards while the chargers lose 27-14 this week.

I didn't get the numbers wrong. The Packers played at night and the numbers weren't updated until after my post. My numbers were more comparable anyway as Amos has played an additional game and still is worse than Dix.

Love is a strong word.

He wasn't a downgrade from Amos.

You, on the other hand, have to talk yourself into loving Amos at his inflated contract.
