2 trick or treaters. One was my neighbor. Each one got nearly a full bag of candy.

1.5", maybe 2" of snow in some spots here in the SW burbs. Almost all of this is on grassy surfaces.


We were out for a bit last night, but did not have one trick or treater knock on the door. I looked around to see if I could see footprints in the snow of somebody we may have missed when we weren't home, and saw no evidence. I can confidently say that this is the first Halloween in probably 20 years I did not hand out a single piece of candy.

Maybe an inch of wet snow in Kenosha. They moved Trick or Treat to Saturday afternoon up here. No idea how many kids to expect in new neighborhood and cold weather.

Monday and Tuesday could be all time record low high temperature for those dates. Meaning that it will likely be the coldest high temp ever recorded in Chicago on Nov 11 & 12. Weather records here go back to about the Civil War.

Hopefully we get a nice respit with some sun and 50s later in the month, but this recent stretch sure does bite the big one.

Like Seacrest, we also got firewood early. In the 7 years we have been in our house, we have never used the fireplace in October. That changed this year.
