Not true. All 12 of his INTs last year were on passes of 10 yards or more.

Quote:
From 10-20 yards he completed 54% of his passes on 87 attempts. He had five touchdowns and five interceptions to go with 7.6 yards per attempt.

When attacking the deep field, he hit 38% of his passes on 82 attempts. However, these went for 12.2 yards per attempt, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

I was saying that he wasn't a turnover machine despite throwing the ball downfield.

ALL of Mitch's interceptions last year were on throws downfield. Over half of them were on throws of 20+ yards.

Mitch's QB rating on passes over 20 yards was 53. HIs QB rating on passes 10-20 yards was 88. So not only does he turn the ball over when he throws downfield, he sucks when he throws downfield.

I'm not rooting against him, Nas, but its very clear he is not the guy and the bulb going off for him is still not going to take the Bears to a Super Bowl. His ceiling appears to be a journeyman who hangs around as a backup for a few years. The numbers don't lie Nas, Mitch sucks.

Frank he played an entire season and only had 12 interceptions. He played an entire season in college and only had like 5 or 6. Cutler could get 12 interceptions in 4 games. Turnover machines throw the ball away in a variety of ways. That hasn't been the case for him.

I'm not sure what the league average passer rating on passes deep down the field is but I suspect it isn't high and I suspect there are a lot of interceptions.

He only played 14 games.

You can't say people "hate Trubiksy because he isn't Mahomes" and then say, 'Yeah but Cutler' in Mitch's defense.

2018 Mitch (53) was WAY below league average (84) in throwing the ball downfield last season. The graphic was in the link I posted;

That's not directed at Nas, I assume. He's far from that.

It's one thing to be a fan. It's another thing to stick with a QB who pretty clearly is not the guy. We have seen enough of Mitch to know that its probably a 98% certainty he is not a franchise QB. He is not the first nor will he be the last top 5/10 QB to be a bust.

I was all in on Mitch until this season. The numbers were there last year and I chose to be ignorant about it. I've seen the error of my ways. Just like for years I thought Jose Quintana was this Cy Young caliber pitcher who happened to play on a shit team, yet the more and more I saw of him, the more games he lost. There comes a time where you have to admit you were wrong and "he ain't the guy." That time is now if not passed already for Mitch.

Mitch Quintana is an appropriate nickname

We're not going to get anywhere on the other stuff. Thanks for the graphic. That's good stuff!

Did you think of this all by yourself or did mommy and daddy help you?

Nas, id Mitch Trubinsky a viable NFL QB? If so, to whom is his game most similar?

It’s becoming obvious the Bears took Mitch because he was white. Were they that burned by Henry Burris and Kordell Stewart?

Nas is a Bear apologist, he's going to back Mitch like Rex.

Bears apologist? I'm still a Grossman fan. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has 8 games to keep me on the bandwagon.
