Time to turn the page and what better way to do it than by going to see Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers at the UC on 4/3/20.

Tickets go on sale 11/8/19.

I'm fired up, obviously love Sturgill, but also love Childers and have his last 2 albums.

Ike Reilly next Saturday at Old Town School of Folk Music. Come out and meet cast members of Chicago Fire. Short opening set of improv from Dave Pasquesi(Veep) and TJ Jagodowski(the bald guy in the Sonic commercials).

Might be sightings of Yellow Piss, Furious and JORR, among others.

If you've never seen Reilly and his band, you should. They're one of the tightest, rockin'-ist ensembles you've only heard about from me.

stop right there.

It's not time to turn the page u dumbshit. You dont turn the page until Jan.1.

Until then, there are a lot of other concerts goin' on. Fuck u for skipping the rest of the year. Fucku for looking too far ahead and not living in the moment.

You're a sports fan, and yet u havent learned SHIT from all of it.

You DONT look ahead. You play a FULL FORTY-EIGHT minutes. THEN u turn the page. You dont pull the plug early and then look ahead to the next opponent. In this case u will fail.

I feel like at this stage in my life, I should probably know who the fuck Ike Reilly is, but I don't.
I'll look for him on Spotify.

I find his band very, well, alright, I guess. GoldenJet has a hard on for him though, I'm assuming because he's Lake County local, and not the Scott Lucas Zion Trailer Park type of Lake County local.

We became friends about 20 years ago.

I wouldn't promote him as much if I didn't really like his music.

He's kept a touring band together without much commercial success for nearly 20 years...which is pretty commendable.

They do put on a fantastic live show...JORR and Furious will confirm that.

He's a great songwriter. And his band can rock and put over a ballad. His "singing" may be an acquired taste for some.

Sturgill at UC, stage will be on one end of main floor. GA pit in front and then seats behind that. I'm thinking best view with a seat would either be 100 level or 200 level. I'm thinking 200 level not quite at mid court would be the best view?

There's pretty much no band I'd go see at a massive venue anymore. Maybe U2. I just don't like arena shows.

This came up again the other day, with Tool playing the UC.

I was not happy when it was announced that Sturgill Simpson/Tyler Childers would be at the UC. Last time through he played at the Riv which was great. But, that was before he started getting Grammy nominations. I have to see him so it is what it is. Big fan of Tyler Childers too. Just gonna get as good a view as I can while still having a seat and then hope for the best regarding the sound quality.

I saw Masked Intruder at an arcade/bar last weekend in Milwaukee. The put on a fun and hard rocking show. The first band of the night was awesome. They got put on the bill last minute and were a bunch of high school kids playing 80's hair metal and absolutely shredding.

If you're "close" the stage, almost anywhere on the 100-200 level is fine. The view might not be the absolute best, but the sound will be. Shoot for 'center ice' or closer and you should be fine.

Got tickets no problem. Section 233, one down from the stage. Row 3 so high enough where I won't be blocked by the railing. $247 for 2 on ticketmaster after all their fees.

Rumors of Pearl Jam returning to Wrigley next year and I got to be honest, I'm kind of done with this.

I'm pretty sure that's the name of the tour.

Never seen a show at Wrigley. I had heard they were going back on the road next year. Actually was hoping they would play Alpine Valley.

I saw The Police at Wrigley in 2007, sound quality was fine but don't know if I'd go do that again.

Mick Mars is pretty much a corpse at this point. They really should just leave it alone, but my God people are going ape shit over this tour.

Honestly....Joan Jett is the biggest appeal for me. I've seen all the other bands in their prime. I'm hoping to avoid this. I think I'd rather see Joan Jett at county festival than Wrigley Field.

Other than Poison that seems like more of a Sox Park show.

I never saw any of them, but I think we're going to get tickets. Presale is Monday, Tues, & Thurs, depending on fanclub, credit cards, etc...
