don't even get me started on the virtue signaling by prominently placing homosexual couples in commercials even though, at less than 5% of the population, statistically you aren't very likely to see one in everyday life

You're not counting the SIGNIFICANT portion of the population that's on the DL.

I think the proper nomenclature is "IL".

Diabetes drug Ozempic appears to have been named just so they could write the jingle as a parody of Magic:

There are also a WHOLE LOTTA interracial couples these days, and it's usually a white man with a _____ woman, and/or ______ man.
It's not a judgement or a complaint, but it's become so obvious in advertising that it's hard not to notice.
With all of the SJW 'inclusion' politics being shoved down the population-at-large's throats, I gotta think that some of the 'other' people are probably at the point where it's like "ENOUGH already, just leave us alone, we're not that fucking special" but I'm not completely naive either. When I want to watch ads, I just look up 70s/80s/90s/00s commercial compilations on YT.
It's completely different now.

Every Peloton commerical, radio or TV, is awful.

One of the newer TV spots has a woman, who appears to be no stranger to exericse to begin with, fretfully expressing her apprehension as she gets on the bike for the first time.

It's just a stationary bike, lady. You're not walking a tightrope over the Grand Canyon. I think you'll do just fine.

All of the trainers look and sound like something from an SNL skit.

Some funny posts about the commercials: https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/01/peloto ... ter-thread

The 1-800-GOT-JUNK commercials are becoming more and more disconcerting (although "let's make this junk disappear!" is a sweet OKC-esque double entendre.)

Their latest one is dumb...essentially it’s “call us to get rid of your junk so you can buy more junk on Black Friday!”

As soon as I hear that whistling I feel my brain turning into unflavored Cream of Wheat. Do you remember one where the person declares "this is where we moved to" and starts laughing maniacally as she orders things to be removed? I think I ticked the "happy happy!" one in this thread already. These are written by an algorithm, right? Something is deeply not right with 1-800-GOT-JUNK commercials.

I'm also getting burned out on the It's Just Lunch commercials with the lady who sounds like she has spent 15 years of her life yelling "OH MY GOD BECCAAAAA."

If you watch a lot of YouTube vids, you've obviously been bombarded with shorter versions and variations on this theme.
Is it still 2003?
FUCK YOU, FUCK YOUR SPOKESPERSON. FUCK YOUR SHITTY COMMERCIALS.
I'm never going to buy anything with the words 'Dr. Squatch' on it.
Let me just fuck off onto the next Chip Chipperson Podacast.

That newish pepto bismol commercial with an annoying jingle that ends in diarrhea couldn’t be worse.

Local radio has a female/male DJ couple reading a commercial script for a bus trip to Chicago for Holiday lights tours at Navy Pier and Lincoln Park Zoo- they read like high school kids, with multiple instances of emphasis on the wrong word/syllable which makes for a disjointed conversation, for sure. But, the whole premise of the ad is that she wants to get the kids into the Holiday spirit EARLY this year- he replies they have the snow and the tree and the lights, but she wants this bus trip, remember, to get them in the spirit EARLY!!

The trip is December 21st.

I hope the bus flips off the Skyway with only those two on it.

The Subway "Secret DJ Set" commercial with the guy who either sounds like AM1000's Danny Zederman or Adam Abdalla (they both sound the same to me), bad music, and obnoxious airhorn is very irritating.

The construction zone PSAs featuring the deceased doing karaoke - I can't understand a word of the narrator. Not sure who mixed this.

The Tide Pure Clean commercials might not be so bad if the people in them were not terrible singers.

Just about any Penny Mustard commercial. The woman is irritating and the two guys aren't much better.

The Penny Mustard ads are too Wisconsinny to air in this market. It cannot be allowed.

Speaking of Wisconsin, just heard a spot for Wilmot Mountain, "just an hour from Chicago." Sounds like Bigfan Time is really catching on.

Yeah I am with you on the PM commercials. They have pretty decent American made furniture, which fits with all the WI places selling Amish stuff.

The woman ruins them. She sounds like a stilted little kid. To me, she sounds just like the woman in the Tile Outlet commercials.

This Alexa Amazon commercial where the dad is mocking his daughter for burning a duck is not very woke. He has to mansplain to her how to make a super simple pasta dish, then has to mention that his wife couldn't make it correctly for him .

This 1-800-GOT-JUNK commercial where the woman is like "I'm embarrassed to show you what I want you to haul away." We never find out what it is! It's never revisited! Is it a crate of dildos? What kind of storytelling is this?

My favorite commercial is the MAHEM commercial where the guy is a dog and licks the face of the woman driver who complains that he just licked his ass. The actor is pretty good and I've seen him in a few movies before this gig.

Oh pardon me, dickhead. I misspelled Mayhem because of the weak assed spell checker on this site that doesn't recognize CAPITAL LETTERS. I just didn't know this until now. This is a fun intended thread and didn't think that idiots like you would attack someone because of a spelling error? I guess I was simply wrong and that a jag-off like you cannot just have fun.
