I've enjoyed the campy (and Campsy) season so far.

They're just throwing shit against the wall I think, and there's been twists and turns in the first 3 episodes, but the kills have been entertaining.

My dear internet friend Barry,

I was surprised that another season approaches. Was the whole story line not to have been completed with the last season featuring the murder house and the apocalypse? I had thought that was the intention.
Anyway, this season is pounding one over the head with the HEY GUESS WHAT IT IS THE 1980S. It is a bit too much. We get it. It is set in 1984.
I guess Ryan Murphy wants to steal some of the charm that Stranger Things had.
I find that sad.

I will sit and grimly masturbate in comtemplation.

Your pal,
Evil.

In general I'm not a huge fan outside of the first two seasons but I'm liking this one. We skipped most of the last few seasons.

1984 was a simpler time.

Same. Haven't watched since the 2nd or 3rd season I think but this is seemed campy enough to check out.

It’s fun. Waiting for the show within a show thing they did with Roanoke. Episode 5 should be where the twists start making more sense. Read interesting theories.

So the big twist is all the murdered people at the camp are now stuck there. And they can kill new people.

Satan-resurrected Nightstalker and Mr. Jingles driving to LA in a stolen cop car laughing was an odd end to the episode.

Since they are going to LA they will end up at the Murderhouse and the Hotel one would assume.

If the twists end there it is very disappointing.

So we have three alive survivors... Margaret, the girl she framed and the psychiatrist. I know Evans Peters is out on this season but there are still a ton of cameos they can play on still. I also had no idea Billie Lourd was Carrie Fishers daughter.

Agreed.

The way they were laughing made me think the "movie inside a show" thing. It was just such a movie moment.

In LA you have the olympics, the two other places too. I can’t see how they make the camp interesting from here on out though? The Orwellian theories can still work, there is also some ghost fucking which lead to a devil baby last time so maybe another (earlier since it is 84) devil baby comes about? When is Kathy Bates going to show up?

I actually enjoyed episode 100 more than I thought i would.

Sets up nicely for the end run of the season. The time jump helped.

Though that Jingles version of the goatee will haunt me.

Yeah the concert at the camp. I kinda loved that idea, Ramirez was so right though in 89 all those bands were dying that were invited. Maybe not idol but it was cradle of love and then he was done. Interesting lineup yeah I paused it to see who was on the flyer.

I missed it but who was jingles wife? I’ll google it.

Also I have to assume that the festival is a dig at the Fyre festival?

Last episode was weird. All of the sudden there's this other ghost who is really responsible for the massacres.

The season as a whole has been okay for what it is. But that twist came outta nowhere.

Yeah which isn’t unusual for them but it seems a little more directionless than normal. I always like the return of Dylan McDermott though and he was funny again. His story has to be tied in still to make sense. I’m going to finish it but I am not enamored.

Last night was the first episode I actively disliked.

It's just a giant pile of crap they are throwing at the wall in the hopes that some of it sticks.

Agreed. The twists are not there. The show is usually insightful and I really expected some Orwellian tie in at some point, I guess it can come still but that episode did little sans healing one strange family dynamic. I liked McDermott less this week than last week although his stache is still awesome. We shall see what they do to wrap this up but it is not my fav by any means. A lot of the. Though I haven’t liked in the moment and sorta age well, like freak show and hotel. Still hate coven.

What a weird season finale.

But I think I liked it.

Yeah I think they did a good job of a fun finale and they tied everything up neatly. It was a very redeeming episode for sure nit sure if it made the season great but it was good fun. I am very disappointed they never threw the obvious Orwellian theme in there though.
