Game sequence. Go back and see for yourself.

Fuller gives up the long TD.

Called back for illegal formation.

four of the next five plays the Rams line up in the same formation.

WHICH MEANS THEY CAN'T LEGALLY RUN THE BALL AND SHOULD HAVE 11 GUYS AT THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.

The Bears, never saw this apparently.

does anyone remember the aftermath of the week 1 GB game? I recall reading/hearing that the coaching staff had to dumb the offense down for dummy mitchell. what if the entire offensive woes can be attributed to the fact mitchell cant process information fast enough or correctly and that perhaps he is just dumb? what is the coaching staff supposed to do about that?

going forward they should run the damn offense like it is supposed to be run and if the QB fucks up..... well the tape doesnt lie.... instead of running this dumb down version of the offense which still looks stupid. no more catering to dummy mitchell.

I could buy the dumbing down as a reason. And I can even excuse Nagy not changing the run game to accommodate him. Maybe that really does explain all of it. Last season Mitch pulled magic out of his ass and this year he isn't as lucky. Nagy simply refuse to accept not running his mostly pass offense and will stick to his guns until the GM gets him a QB that can do it.

The problem with this theorim is Daniel looks like shit too

True but we know he is old and bad for sure.

Stumbling and stuttering all over himself trying to explain why he chose to pull Mitch.

I wanted to like Nagy. I wanted to give him every benefit of every doubt.

He is in over his head. Its Trestman 2.0

If Nagy knew Mitch's hip was bothering him and he's telling everyone to look at the tape to see where he got injured and the signs of the injury, then why do an option play?

If Chase was warming up, according to Nagy, then why is he standing there with a headset on while Nagy is talking to Mitch? If Nagy made up his mind, tell Chase to start warming up and then talk to Mitch.

I don't understand why Nagy won't just hand off play calling duties to Scott Helfrich for a bit to see if it helps. Maybe he sees the game through another lens.?

What good does Nagy provide if he isn't calling plays? Isn't that his best skill supposedly?

Supposed to be Andy Reid's best skill and he's handed over play-calling duties on occasion.

Maybe he could be the less weird Trestman that keeps the team together?

I have a regular customer named Matt Nagy. It was pretty cool last year. This year not so much.

Because turning the playcalling over to some random guy probably isn't a good idea.

Now, if Nagy were to turn the playcalling duties over to Mark Helfrich, then we might be able to cook with some gas.

Laurence made a good point that the other four GMs in town are quite accessible to the media but Ryan Pace pretty much holes up in Lake Forest and hardly talks to anyone. The best example was making Nagy talk about the Kaepernick workout, which as a personnel issue should have been for the GM to address rather than the head coach.

Yep that is right but I seemed to think I recalled him doing some talking after the season usually.

Maybe its an organizational thing? I remember Jerry Angelo going onto the local shows and at least being somewhat accessible.

Yeah, Angelo made himself pretty available. I don't remember how much Emery did, but I do remember he TOLD US EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING. Pace has been very quiet.

Same.
Realistically the Bears could have won every game so far this year. Even the Saints game, it was 12-10 at the half. The defense just seemed to give up in the 3rd quarter. Nagy not adjusting in any games to control the clock, run the ball and change his plays to fit (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky better is just frustrating. There's no reason to keep Nagy around if the Bears lose 10 or more games.

I think the Trestman comparisons are sadly accurate. The defense has quit on him and the team. Earlier this season I couldn't imagine that Nagy would be the this stupid....nope...he is this stupid.

He has no quarterback and he cannot do anything to find a way to work with what he has on offense. He's in way over his head. He has to get fired.

Read somewhere that Pace prefers to have "one voice" for the team and for that voice to be Nagy. Sounds a little like overthinking it but part of me also gets it.

I'm sick of hearing about "Nagy". We should start referring to him as "Chuck" and then marvel in delight as we realize that half of our major coaches are named Chuck and are thusly #ChuckStrong

I agree with everything you've said, McD.

But this is the Bears we are talking about. With a bean counter as the President & CEO. $$$$ is all that matters to him.

Then the best option would be if people stopped going to games and watching.

They run unsuccessfully. 29th. 10 games and 229 attempts is enough to know they can't run. Would ANYTHING be be different with 10 more rushes a game? If so, you better have some evidence other than their passing stinks, because statistically, that ain't going to cut it.

This is Trestman 2.0.

Time to cut your losses and move on. From Pace too.

Part of the run game problem is the scheme. Running from the shotgun doesn't help
