He'll need it. I'm bringing a waffle bar in Friday.

If anyone is doing the low carb thing, I've found there is a massive difference in results between staying under 20 carbs per day as opposed to 50

Under 50 you lose maybe a lb every 5 days or so. Under 20 you'll lose a lb every 2.5-3 days

Yes when this was a thing 20 years ago in the Atkin's craze 20 carbs was a key number. A little unrealistic if you ask me depending on how you live your life. I also recall guys I knew putting weight back on pretty good as maintaining the loss was tough.

This year has been weird. I went up about 5 pounds above usual and cannot seem to take it off, despite not really eating differently.

I'm still fat from 3 years ago. Got with in 7 of my goal this summer and gained 10 back. Need to figure out how to be sustainable and I think I gotta give up the booze. Sucks being old.

Who? Me?

If so, I just put too much on the gut and got too close to a new all time high

I'm a weird eater and the low carb thing suits me well

Definitely. There is no worse culprit of empty calories than alcohol. I'm probably up a few LBs myself as I've had more craft beer this year than all of my previous years combined. Some of those can be 250-300+ calories a can.

If I quit drinking for a week, I'll lose 10lbs.

That's under 80 calories from carbs...would be impossible for me.

6 years ago i was 265 and had enough. I lost 80lbs in about a year. it was hard work but not that hard. i did the tim ferris 4 hour body, and worked my way into running about 10 miles a week. also did a little weight training twice a week.

I kind of pulled back a bit, then pulled back a bit, then pulled back a bit. 2 moves as well as beginning the fostercare adventure took its toll on my time. and 5 years later i'm back to about 235. I'd like to be around 210 by the time i get to my 40th birthday next summer. we shall see.

So, uh, looked up Tim Ferris...You, uh, know how to produce 15-minute female orgasms? I feel like this is something you should share with the class.

It seemed odd placement for a book about losing weight

I could show you, but you wouldn't like it. After the first minute or two it feels more like pain.
