Love pumpkin pie. Wife makes a delicious green bean casserole. Not too many holiday foods I don't like.

My cousin's mother-in-law was a nice old lady from Ireland. Every year she used to bring Irish scones for Christmas. My mom could be so ignorant. One year she said, "No offense, Betty, but those scones are terrible. I don't know how anyone could eat them without breaking a tooth."

My mother & her youngest sister are in that mold as well. It's not a holiday if they aren't flaming someone like that. Often my mom doesn't realize how hard she's going and backs off when we laugh, my aunt never cares.

In my own life experience, all the aunt shit-talking happens in Italian, or Greek, or Gaelic. But you know what it is, you don't need subtitles.

I was once told by a group of friends that there is a particularly vicious way I swear at times. I blame my aunt. I knew she was remarkably effective at it at an early age and respected her game  .

mental note: no chitlins and watermelon when RR comes to visit.

And no gluten if Seacrest is coming too.

In that case we'll have nothing BUT gluten.

Haven’t seen it nor had it in years but jello mold with crunchy stuff in it like pretzels and topped with whipped cream. Pretty sure this is where they got the joke from Christmas Vacation.

My sister makes a killer version of this with strawberry jello, pretzels and whipped cream. Love it.

We get the home made pierogi this time of year, Mom gets Polish sausage with the turkey forThanksgiving and makes the dumplings for Christmas. Most meat-filled, but some cabbage to keep you kraut-haters away.

I never liked cranberries.

Give me a turkey club and a slice of pumpkin pie and I'll be the happiest brother on Earth.
