I'm fine with Collins being back in AAA because he just wasn't getting any playing time. It was stupid to bring him up and not give him regular at bats in the first place.

You don't have to get run over by a Mercedes, Hawk. A Chevy, BMW, Ford, or any other car would get the job done just fine.

The answer is more clearly 'yes' as each day goes by. Collins is not a catcher, and he will be able to hit just as well as 2018-2019 Abreu hits. Save that $20M annually and spend it on pitching.

Maybe the silliest post by this guy ever and that is saying quite a bit. Expecting Collins to hit as well as a many time all-star having another very good year is ridiculous. Taking Abreu out of that young line-up would be really stupid.

Sure. The 5th leading RBI guy in the AL should just be given away. HE can conceivably win the RBI title before this season is over. That might mean the White Sox could have the leading RBI guy and BA guy(Anderson) in the AL. Not bad. It is very conceivable also that Roberts will win the minor league player of the year honors. His rise from Class IA to IIIA has been mercurial.

White Sox got real old, real fast this offseason.

But I was wrong, and Abreu remains a White Sox player.

White Sox have even less confidence in their player development than the Cubs do at the moment.

Something tells me, the Sox had a plan. I feel, like they didn't wanna over expose Collins to the league, so they could trade him. You have 5 catchers on the 40, and including Collins on the MLB club, 3 catchers there. Something has to give.
