Wil Perdue broke the scores cardinal rule. Never speak the truth about the score.[/quote]

Perdue doesn't need the part time score job so he can do that freely.

The benefits packages today cost the employer so much that the benefits-free contract employee is so much more attractive. We routinely have guys retire, take six months off, then return to perform basically the same job they left at double the hourly wage/salary, just no benefits. I worked all summer with a couple of former coworkers who returned to help with a huge project; they were making over double the hourly rate they left, and were covered by Medicare or a spouse. One of the guys planned all this into his retirement from the company, he's off to work another project at another plant off of the reputation he built with us.

Additionally, there are other advantages like number of consecutive days worked without a day off, working hour limits, probationary periods, etc.

I think this forum has long been open to discussion about how poorly the SCORE and other radio producers have been treated over the years, often from the mouths of the producers themselves in days gone by, and maybe still today...

Heard him on yesterday. Will Perdue mentioned he finally has a job with insurance.

Tony agreed he can finally go to a doctor or dentist. Unbelievable the producer of Larry's show with no health insurance. He was there all day a lot up from Larry's show, Bulls/Cubs games up to the beginning of Les's show. Not a member of the tribe so nobody will talk it up for him? Wonder what the insurance cutoff line is?

for someone who consumes even more sportsrradio than beardown.... this is news to you that the producers gig is a low paying with no bennies....? where the only incentive to carry on is a pipe dream about becoming a host which is basically a carrot on a stick?
