I've said this before but here is one, spoiler-ish
Stephen King is overrated.
He has great ideas but can' finish a novel (interestingly, he writes a good short story).
The Stand - great idea but in the end good does nothing to win. If the good side wasn't in the story, it would have still happened the same way
The Dark Tower - 4000+ pages to get to the first sentence again (as an aside, the best thing he ever wrote is Dark Tower 4: Wizard and Glass, the worst thing other than the ending: Stephen King is a character in the series.)

I could go on as I always am told, but you need to read _____. I do because I read a lot and he starts strong but falls apart by the end.
