We were around $50 last year and we're at about $75 this year, but toddler toys and clothes is a lot different than what MANY parents have to buy.

We don't spend that much, maybe $100 but that includes practical things we would have had to buy them anyway.

I try to keep it to $150 but it gets closer to $200 a lot. As they are older things that interest them cost more would be the main reason.

Between $100 and $150. Usually 5 or 6 things per kid.

This is one of the benefits of white women hating me. I don't have to worry about this.

My mom used to give me soap, sweat socks, and underwear as Christmas presents.

Joy to the world!

I just want to be the first to throw in the usual "I'm sorry you're poor" comment.

When we were little kids, my sister and I would tear off the wrapping paper and if it was obviously a box from a clothing store we would impudently toss it aside and sneer, "CLOTHES!" Such ungrateful fucking brats we were. My mom got angry and scolded us but she probably should have beaten the shit out of us and returned the toy gifts to the store.

My grandma used to wrap toys in clothes boxes just to fuck with us kids.

I distinctly remember being about six years old and trying to explain to my mom that clothes weren't a gift as it was her duty to clothe us regardless. Such a precocious douchebag I was! I'm lucky she didn't kill me prior to my teens.

My wife has always been a huge Christmas person. She puts up money all year for it. We prob spend 200 to 300 per kid over the years. This year we are doing things differently
. We are getting each kid one small thing for Christmas morning and then putting the rest of the money towards a big trip next summer

I went a Tad Overboard this year. Probably $300 on my son. Around $100-$150 on niece and nephew.

My biggest regret in life is probably acting the way you’re describing as a kid towards my mom . Growing up poor and not fucking understanding how hard it must’ve been to get us any clothes let alone new ones , trying to find extra money to get us ANY gifts at all, the stress and heartbreak that must’ve caused her ( or any parent in that situation ) . Being the unappreciative little fucking brat about that truly is something I’m ashamed of to this day .

Probably around $300 per son. But in fairness, they got benefits for honor roll appearances. And never got "allowances", just money for extra work around the house
