Salaries are ramping up, and the next collective deals will probably raise or alter the cap like luxury tax. Meaning even bigger contracts. His free agency is well timed. I tend to agree with you two here.

I turn your attention to last offseason. Collusion was being alleged as the only two premium FAs had to wait and were stuck considering Reinsdorfian type deals because many finally wised up to some extent and didn't inflate a market for the sake of doing something in the eyes of their fanbase. Plus, KB doesn't even have the aura and public persona/notoriety those two did last year. Imo, the clamor just won't be there, unless KB returns to 2016 form.
