Please remind me tomorrow how much more dominant the NL is compared to the AL.

The Sox will have a winning record against the NL this year.

The Cubs on the other hand... not the case.

The National League got their asses handed to them collectively - just as they have in the Fall Classic by the American League.

Sell crazy up in Boyztown ....we're all stocked up on the southside - with Cub fans overrunning the place like cockroaches.

Where's that Elmwood Steve character? Let me guess... fishing?

;)

What? No picture of the 69 Met t-shirt here too?

I could really careless what the NL's record is against the AL this year. It really means nothing.

The Sox are a good team, but you guys should spend more time worried about staying ahead of the Twins and the Tigers and less time thinking up new ways to make "meatball" and 69 Met references.

I would have agreed with you but I learned last weekend that June games don't count.

They counted plenty in here last weekend, you've made our argument for us.

Yes. Good luck trying to even the score tomorrow.

The Sox are a good team. It would be a feather in the Cubs hat to take 4 of 6.

I'm magnanimous to a fault.

I actually hope the Cubs destroy the Sox tomorrow.

Im pretty sure the Cubs have a winning record against the NL this year.

Good point on Elmhurst Steve. The guy is a bitch and never shows up when his team sucks or the Sox are good. He's proved to be quite the cowardly bitch so far this year.

I am an AL guy, but they should have a better record. They should always have a better record, they should also have a higher BA, HR's, more Runs,

I have always hated this part of interleague games.

A perfect example is the Cubs betting Darrel Ward as the DH. A career pinch hitter and 4th OF at Best, making probably $750K, while the Sox bat a HOF guy in Thome.

overall the guy taking the AB's as the 9th batter should always be much much better, Big Papi or Gabe Kapler? as an example

Nice to see the people of Mike North intelligence come out of the closet this weekend.

I went to three of the six games (happy for me right?)...

My observation(s) were that Sox fans are more obsessed about the Cubs than they are with their own team. Seriously...the signs, the t-shirts touting Cubs fans & Cub failures (a lot to choose from) and so on. It just seemed pretty funny to me...then I read this post today, and yet another Sox fan more concerned about the Cubs.

Interesting.

Your league's 8 hour games are still garbage to watch.

DING DING DING!

I will never understand the desire to deride the opposing team over encouraging your own. The Sox were very good over the weekend. So be it. The frontpage Trib pic "friends don't let friends be Cubs fans" is baffling. What a fucking idiot.

T'accordo picciottu! My post is , in effect the same message.

In futebol (soccer) terms, the AL is "Serie A ", the National league, "Serie B".

I have heard ir said, by a major leagues scout, the disparity of super statistics in NL (C Jones batting .380-.400, THREE pitchers hitting over .300, example) usually occurs in a time when a league is/was diluted, as example ...There are SO many with substandard statistics , 180 degrees opposite these "awesom" numbers put up by the "stars". CHIPPER JONES hitting close .400?? What is Zambrano's batting average.

I remember great hitting pitchers as Gibson, Drysdale...White Sox had a fellow name Gary Peters. NONE of these guys were hitting ball as hard and for average as these NL pitchers.

Most NL pitchers should be thanks the lucky stars they wear a MAJOR league uni, and receive MAJOR league compensation for their "efforts" . They are as efficient as WHITE COLLAR criminals for the grana ($$$) they rake in, no???

lucky hijos de perros they are!

Another crazylouco way to "compare" leagues, by "win-loss" record, believe me, as a guess, a club like Detroit Tigers, even with injuries, would RIP up the Cub-wub-a-dubbie (or WHATEVER their fans refer them as...) division, no?? My guess, the Cubs would be an afterthought in ANY of the AL divisions, the Cubs are dominant in the weaker NL, this I can see. In the AL, my guess, a struggle to win 85 games (only a guess, of course.)

There WAS a time when NL was "superior", there was also a time when there was an English empire, an Assyrian Empire, a Mayan Empire, etc etc....

Look the bull in the CULO, and ...face the facts in the face, the national league is a DISGRACE.

(The scout I mention before allude that he feels there are MANY minor league caliber players on the NL roster, quite more than in AL clubs....these his words, I am sure someone on this lista has heard that interview?)

I like Grid much better as Linda S or Jim DeRevolting or even Beef the Steroids Abuser Rockmore. Slick is a dick. Using all these multiple identities is good for one thing though. He can get a bunch of his emails read every week. The boys wouldn't read ten emails from the same person in a week, but they would when they are coming from a bunch of different identities. I'm waiting for the day when every email Mac reads on the air in a single show is from a Grid identity. Considering Mac reads about ten emails per show and Grid has about ten identities, that's a possibility. That would be special.

Slick celebrates in late October. Grid celebrates in early February. Cubs fan celebrate at the All Star Break. Do you think Soto will go with aqua blue or a pink blush eyeshadow to complement his eye shadow and sculpted eyebrows in the All-Star game?

Light blue. Goes much better with the blue lettering of the Cubs' road jerseys.

I think Grid, John Wadsworth Longfellow and The Bachster had one email segment a few years ago.

Ryan is Linda S. too btw - not Grid.

Slick is a button pushing prick too btw. It doesn't take much to get Cubs fans panties in a bundle.

And when does Beef Rockmore celebrate? In August, when the Olympic weight lifters pump iron?

speaking of meatball cub fans, we have an elmhurst steve sighting at 4:42pm on MJH...

can we propose a foe list for ESPN 1000 so we don't have to hear his calls either?

of course, i must be a moron to say that because harry thought his phone call was "interesting" and "intriguing".

I wonder if Jurco heard John Kruk on the radio earlier today..

As far as I'm concerned, Milwaukee can have Steve. And hopefully they keep him.
