Toews and Saad had some nice plays today, but Toews was part of the problem on that second goal.

Our problem is money tied up in people that underperform for what they are being paid. For some it's fine and was going to happen but some it's like a giant albatross.

The two are unrelated.

Firing both Quenneville and Hoiberg was the right moves to make. Quenneville was awesome for the Blackhawks for a long time, but the message was no longer working. He will be loved in Chicago when his retirement tour is over. Either way, it is up to the organizations to take the pulse of the team and then hire a guy that is more likely to be successful and deliver the message the team needs to hear. The Hawks and Bulls both failed in this.

Just because Colliton was a poor hire doesn’t mean Q shouldn’t have been fired. And the idea that a fan needs to know a good hire in order to support a coach getting replaced is ridiculous.
