He "broke down"? What drivel. Enjoy your first round loss in the play-offs this year.

I probably won’t but thanks.

There is zero chance he plays out the last three years of that contract. Even if he stays with the Bears they will make him restructure.

Considering the fact that he held out and forced a trade to get this contract I wouldn’t be so sure.

I thought he already restructured last year?

Mack has been worth the money he is paid this year. He outperformed the money he is paid last year.

The Bears with a competent offense the entire year are probably looking at a 11 or 12 win season.

The Bears save an exorbitant amount of money against the cap if he's cut after 2021.

Well unless he kills somebody that won't be a concern.

Bears gave up the 19th pick and 83rd pick and got the 44th pick in return.

So this was the trade:
Mack
44th pick in 2020
For
24th pick in 2019
19th pick in 2020
83rd pick in 2020

I assume the Bears didn't move up from 6th round to 5th round as they could have if conditions were met.

What a great trade for the Bears.

It was a good trade for both. You also have to consider the players acquired with the money they saved by trading Mack. Trent Brown made the pro bowl.

The Raiders had a lot of cap space. Cherry picking your best signings that you could have done anyways doesn't get thrown in any more than the signings that didn't work out well would.

I think it worked out well for the Raiders considering how often Mack disappeared in important games this year. Need guys that are committed to winning football games.

The trade inaugurated a mesmerizing 4-12 season for the raiders in 2018 which they then followed with a workmanlike 7-9 campaign. Certainly worked out for them. And they pay the guy who traded Mack like 20 mil a year. Can't wait to see what that team has planned for the future.

Them and the Bears seem to be headed in opposite directions. Like two ships passing in the night.

Looking forward to Mayock's 2nd draft and ridiculous cap space.

The future is bright.

The Bears are 20-12 in the regular season since then.

The Raiders are 11-21.

They have some catching up to do.

No, it doesn't work in a cumulative fashion.

Both teams are 0-0 starting next season. Bears were supposed to be SB contenders this year.

Clock is ticking.

Gruden is a horrible Coach and the Raiders have a terrible organization.

Mack has been walking around Halas Hall in a ski mask. The Raiders would be a playoff team if the GM tried to tolerate Antonio Brown instead of trying to prove that his dick was bigger.

Championships are not based on cumulative records.

Do you have some kind of challenge the board should be aware of?

 What? So they only way to determine who won the trade is based on a championship?

Anytime you trade two 1sts for a superstar it doesn’t need to be said that a championship win is the goal of that trade. Not as much when you’re trading away the star.

I agree the goal of the trade for the Bears was a championship, but that does not mean a championship is needed in order to win the trade.

I think at least one playoff win is needed to claim you won the trade

The expectation was that the Bears would compete for a Super Bowl and the RAIDERS would stink for a few years.

It's not complicated.

So after two years the Bears competed for a SuperBowl in one year. The Raiders have stunk for 2 years.

Bears win.

You are right not complicated.

Whereas NBA and NHL salary caps are use it or lose it, the NFL allows unused cap space to be rolled over.

Smart to not pay Mack record setting money when starting a rebuild. Especially smart to not pay record setting money to a player with questionable work ethic

I forget how much of a simpleton RFDC is.

The Bears regressed this year. Badly. Mack disappeared for large periods of time.

The clock is ticking.
