I listened to the same one you did. I just read between a couple of lines. He repeated multiple times that they were going to have 2 openings at the quarterback position. He did so one time without even being asked. He just said that they like Leonard and some of the things that he does. Simply a guy keeping his options open. He spoke about the importance of being available and the fact that Shaheen hasn't been available. He didn't guarantee him a roster spot. He just said that Shaheen was under contract. When asked a question about offensive tackle he threw something about needing interior upgrades. Then shifted to something broader a talking point of constantly getting new blood on the offensive line.

lol @ anyone going into this thinking there were going to be some big revelations and changes. Next year will be the exact same minus a couple of players, plus a couple new ones. That’s it. At this point I’m not even sure they’ll roll out a sacrificial lamb in the form of some random assistant getting fired or anything like that.

Hurts is everything Mitch wasn't (experienced starter, has played in high level games) and his poor play in LSU game likely drops him into second round, but may be more of a system guy. Picking him and Hopkins in second would be a good move unless a higher graded OT or CB slides down to them. A competent NFL journeyman LT would be an upgrade from Leno, they overpaid and over valued him. Still need a veteran TE to make this offense go can likely carve out some cap room by losing Trevathon, Amukamura, Long, and Daniel. Upgrades at QB, OLB, DT, and RT would go a long way, but likely not possible given the lack of draft picks/cap room. It all goes back to the QB position, competence from that position and they are likely back in playoffs, excellence at that position and they can win the NFC Central
