Timmay is a great hitter. Still a butcher at SS. I don't recall teams with butchers at SS winning Championships.

See NY Yankees. Jeter actually sucked at SS and didn't deserve any of his Gold Gloves

The Gonzalez signing indicates that Kopech will start the season in the minors for a time and the sox will recoup one year of control on him.

I'm sure they will get an 8 year contract out of him that will grossly under pay him if he is actually good. Just like with Eloy.

Well, that's a crisis thoroughly averted. Madrigal probably is not good enough to warrant any sort of service time manipulating, and really these rules are imminently going to change in the six intervening years between now and when he'd reach free agency.

Now I would have half a mind to see if I could make an offer to Boston for Betts that they could not refuse. Madrigal, Vaughn and Stiever? Because the Sox position into the future is largely secure even if they do let Betts walk.

How much cum do you actually have to drink to be able to gargle it?

I wouldn't bank on Frank's assessment. The Cubs lack flash and potential but their floor is 80 wins. Sox haven't sniffed 80 wins since 2012 and no guarantee all the roster potential balls out. Nonetheless, the Sox ceiling is definitely higher than the Cubs this year and for next few years to come.

  You can't brand this black man. Somewhere on this board there is a post that was quoted with me saying that I wouldn't complain about the Sox losing for 10 to 15 years after the 2005 WS. The baseball Gods know my heart. I've shed tears of pain and joy for the White Sox.

Your post a couple of weeks ago got me thinking about my fandom. Over the past decade or so I follow my Chicago teams but I only become a fanatic when they have a chance to be good. I blame fatherhood.

I don't think so. The Sox have had Nicky Delmonico, Adam Engel, Dylan Covey, Manny Banuelos, Ryan Cordell etc starting MANY games for them over the past couple of seasons.

While the roster moves the Sox made heading into this season might not pan out into a playoff appearance this season, and there are some questions with the young guys in the starting rotation and in the bullpen, they will be a lot better. I think their floor is 81-81 this season, especially in a shit division. They are better defensively in the OF and are going to score a lot of runs.

The Cubs won 84 games last season and have made virtually no significant moves to improve heading into 2020. They could easily fall to a 75-78 win team this season.

That’s because you stalked me for two fucking years over a comment about the White Sox bullpen. So I said mean things to you until your fat ass finally shut the fuck up.
