Nah, that was it. Belichick I'm sure wants to go out hoisting the Lombardi but he wont. The league has finally, after twenty years, caught up.

He'll win that division again next year and maybe another year after that, but the road in the playoffs is too hard. Mahomes makes Kansas City a persistent annual threat, Pittsburgh had a low-key very encouraging transition year and Denver is about to make their rise and reintroduce their homefield advantage to the playoff dynamic. Watson is on a terrible team with a bad coach but he too presents a set of challenges and while I dont believe in Baltimore at all I do believe in them more than I do New England going forward.

Pittsburg and Denver are in the same spot as NE except with a worse coach.

Even at the height of their powers Tom and Bill had trouble traveling to Heinz or Mile High.

The Titans probably deserve some mention too since Derrick Henry looks like he might be the rare runningback who can carve out a long career without being a contract albatross.

Interested to see how the Raiders do with all those picks. Big Ben needs to bounce back for the Steelers and Broncos are a couple years away.

Disagree on Henry. He’s built like Brandon Jacobs, not AP. He’s 26. He’s got 2-3 years tops left and he’s not great enough to be a real difference maker. He’s good enough to control the game against also-rans like the Pats this year.

We complain about the Bears but they were never as pathetic as the old Patriots. Imagine if the Bears played in a glorified high school stadium off a four-lane highway outside Crystal Lake and no one went to the games except scumbags and they were always going bankrupt because of hare-brained schemes.

Josh Gordon was trash.

Plays much better in a Pats jersey.

Yeah, if we do end up pointing to a moment in this game as The End Of Something, it was Belichick winding up on the ass end of a loophole exploitation for once and absolutely losing his mind about it.

I actually said something smart for a change when Bill busted it out the first time on the Jets

It’s smart to know the rule, but it was dumb to waste showing it when he’s up 33 in the 4th. Save that for when it might matter. One of my “problems” with the NFL is they look for any excuse to run the clock, compared to college

Now it’s entirely possible Vrabel knew the rule before Bill did it, but fuck the Patriots.

That they couldn't come out and be up front about it like Al Davis and the old Raiders cheapened it further.

Your team won a SB because they put a bounty on Favre and intentionally tried to injure players. I don't want to hear any whining from you.
