Diggs was throwing his helmet in celebration of what a good QB he thinks Cousins is.

Diggs is the next AB. I used to like him despite being a Viking but he's just an asshole. Acting like a total dipshit on the sidelines when they are up 10 on the road in the playoffs because he wasnt getting enough touches.

like I said yesterday, Theilien does the same thing

I've never seen two guys so openly disrespect a veteran starting qb so regularly. It is a weekly thing with these guys.

It's probably justified 60 percent of the time.

highlight on the open part

Do you think they are going to make Cousins better by being dicks on the sideline in front of the world? The tactic hasn't worked over the past years.

No they won't make him better and yes I agree it's unprofessional. I don't know if you remember but maybe a month ago both these guys - especially Thielan - were openly questioning this guy's skills as QB. Thielan gave a brutally honest interview to someone post-game which prompted Cousins to apologize on a radio show. It was all unusual and very awkward, but at the same time very telling. So this is why I said it was probably justified - he is objectively not good at getting the ball to these guys at the right time - the early season drama is proof of this. So while the WRs could do a better job at masking their emotions, the underlying sentiment is undoubtedly true.

That was like the first month of the season.

Thielen was healthy in 2018, and with Cousins as QB, had his most targets, receptions, yards, and 2nd highest catch percentage.

Last year, again while both were healthy, Diggs and Thielen totaled 215 catches and 2,400 receiving yards between them.

Your narrative doesn't even play a little. Get the fuck out of here.

The Vikes were up ten points on the road in the second half of a playoff game. It doesn't matter if Cousins can or can't get the ball to his WRs. There is zero justification for that kind of outburst when you are the #6 seed and you have the lead late in the second half of a playoff game.

It's not my narrative, it's Diggs and Thielen.

Wow. Let's give that a bunch of credence. After all, it is rare for a wide receiver ever to talk to the media about wanting more touches. I mean, that NEVER happens.

I think even the most progressive and woke of us would like to tell wide receivers to 'shut up and run routes.'

They know the robot has anxiety in big games. It's why Thielen wanted to kill him on the sidelines last season when he was wetting the bed. He's a really good quarterback from the neck down.

I think he was a great QB from the waist down to his knees on that 65 yard bomb to Thielen.

Slangin the pigskin and the pickle.

Should Cousins throw his helmet and bitch out Diggs in a demonstrable fashion on the sidelines when he disappears every second game?

I don't want to revive this convo since we all discussed this when it happened, but when Thielen said "you have to be able to hit the deep balls," among other damning things, I think we all can agree this is not the usual Keyshawn-esque "give me the damn ball" stuff. Anyway, obviously Cousins quieted the doubters on some plays last game. Let's see if it lasts.

He's shaking too much to be able to accurately throw his helmet.

Wrong. One game does not invalidate a career of coming up short

Neither does a second game, really.

It is a fairly big step in the right direction though.

At least Rogers has some highlights from past years where people could make spectacular catches. There might be two or three Mitch throws where you could say the same.

I'm not ready to live in a world where Matt Stafford is the best QB in the NFC North but we're closing in on that territory if not already there

I would still take Rodgers over Stafford for 2020 but Stafford was playing the best ball of his career last year before his injury and Rodgers is only going to decline from here, I don't have much hopes we will ever see 2011 or 2014 Rodgers again.

The Packers apparently believe that Rodgers is a couple of years away from being done. I think the distance between him and Stafford is small, but similar to Cousins, Stafford finds ways to lose. There isn't a potential starter that I would trust less than Cousins.

Hard to think anything else if you've watched him play.

It's nice to already have a succession plan in place while the Bears continue to kick tires on retreads.

he's a couple of years away from being done because he's 36 years old. not because his play has declined

I guess I don't understand this post. Players are done when their skills decline, unless they are a Detroit Lion. Most don't just walk away at the top of their game regardless of age.

Also, Brady and Brees are in the process of rewriting what we thought we knew about this topic.
