My Mom always liked sports but my Dad did not...same here. My Aunt and Uncle were really the ones who initially took us to Cubs and Bears games. Kinda cool looking back at it....my Mom was a whoops, so my Grandparents were quite a bit older and not really able to do that sort of stuff. Meanwhile, my Aunt and Uncle didn't have grandkids yet, so we were like their trial run to grandparenting.

Once my parents got divorced, one of the first things my Mom did asserting her independence was become a Bears Season Ticket holder. She like all sports....watches....but kinda like you said....she really cannot speak to the actual play with a whole lot of intellect. She's like a female meatball.

I just went to Q's Monday for the first time in about 5 years. They still make a great pizza. I think our server has been working there since the 1950s.

Similar here - we went after going to the Proviso West tournament. Need to take my dad next time I am in town, it's only a 20 minute drive from his place.
