Wow Measure is my all time favorite episode of TNG. Maybe of any Trek show I have seen. Not seen any of the new one or past the first 5 episodes of Voyager. As an aside I loved Enterprise.

I thought it was a great start. Really wove some old references in which were nice but not something you needed to know to stay up with the plot.

I wonder if Bruce Maddox will end up making an appearance.

Excellent first episode...good amount of fan service without going over the top...loved seeing the D at the beginning but would love to know where the Enterprise-E is at since it appears that the comics and novels are not canon in this timeline. Have to admit the eyes got misty when they showed the collage of photos of Picard before his interview...the portrait of him in his TNG uniform...standing with Worf on Kronos..his dress uniform from Insurrection/Nemesis and the darker uniform from the last three TNG movies. Lots of call backs to Nemesis..whether you liked the movie or not. Will be interesting to see what the Romulans are trying to find or recover from a certain cubed ship.

So disappointing they didn't bring back Brian Brophy to be the original Maddox for such a small role. He had such a distinctive look and voice. Must have just not wanted to do it but it would have been great.

Alton Soong is Lore. I'm calling it now. He has too much of Lore's speech and mannerisms not to be. That line "My father had me, but he created Data" just reeks of the resentment Lore would carry.

As for him aging, we know from Juliana in TNG that Soong could create androids that would age. Juliana also confirms in that TNG episode that Soong had no biological children.

I didn't care for most of Season 1 with a few exceptions in certain episodes.

But, it looks like they might have gotten it right. S2E1 was better than anything in Season 1.
