I highly doubt it would happen, but the rumors are the the Cubs would either be looking to trade Bryant straight up for Arenado OR just outright trade for Arenado and put Bryant in left. The justification is that Arenado's deal now looks like a bargain and given Bryant's health, his upcoming contract and the fact he's not as good a 3B as Arenado, it would actually make sense. If there were any truth to it, I'm all for a straight up trade.

His road splits bother me, just under .800 OPS. I have no clue how they get under the luxury tax with him and Bryant....so that’s not happening.

I don't doubt its totally false and at the same time, there is some truth to the fact that the Arenado contract right now looks a whole lot friendlier than the Bryant contract eventually will (300mil+?).
