In a passing league with an increased scrutiny on Def PI, defenseless receiver, and roughing the passer.

I’m not trying to take anything away from Randall but Lamar’s numbers are better across the board and if you take them in a per game basis than even more. Randall wasn’t out there rushing for 1200 yards and leading the league in passing TDs while sitting out his 16th game because he was so dominant in the first 15 they didn’t even need him.

Last point on this:

Randall Cunningham was first team All-Pro in '90.
His division had 3 playoff teams: Eagles, Redskins, and the NFL champion Giants (so he had to play 16 games to garner home field in the wild card).

Drebin is right. That year, Randall was equally otherworldly.

Maybe but he didn’t lead the league in TDs and finish 6th in rushing like Lamar did so even when compared to his peers he wasn’t quite as otherworldly.

Despite his gaudy passing stats , would you have expected Jackson to rally the team back from 24 down like Mahomes did today ? I wouldn’t have .
EDIT : Let me rephrase, do you think he wouldve rallied the team back from 24 down like Mahomes did ?

No but I didn’t expect Mahomes to come back down 24-0 and it sounded like you didn’t either with your 21-0 post. In general I trust them both pretty equally down 10 in the 4th but Mahomes has much better weapons. Lamar never gave up in the 4th though and steadily moved the ball he just couldn’t convert it into points like he has the last 3 months. I think he’s the guy we saw in the regular season more than he’s the guy we saw in the last two playoff games.

It will be interesting to see if the league can make adjustments next year; if they can't, then I'll put him up there as a great QB.

Watching KC be great wasn’t bad enough now the frigging Packers are just going to go up and down the field.

I offered FF a wager when they were down 17 and the Texans still had the ball. He essentially refused. Turned out to be a smart move.

They said earlier today he and Carroll never won in Lambeau.

The Seahawks defense sucks. Last week Josh McCown couldn't finish drives in the red zone but he was able to move the ball. They also have no running game. Packers by 10

I figured it would be high scoring but didn’t figure those early mistakes were recoverable.

Your point about Jackson's lack of weapons is exactly what I said last night. Watkins is a better WR than Snead and Roberts and he's not even the third option for Mahomes. Jackson needs to continue to develop his pocket skills and the team needs to surround him with a playmaker or two.

Right. We mostly agree on Lamar. Where we disagreed last night was that those excuses don’t excuse him losing that type of game.
