Being the FAR SUPERIOR player, doing a good deed and letting Smith get to the Pro Bowl the only way possible- as a replacement.

Quote:
The Bears confirmed today that outside linebacker Khalil Mack will miss the 2020 Pro Bowl due to an undisclosed injury. Packers linebacker Za’Darius Smith will take his place as the Bears send cornerback Kyle Fuller, safety Eddie Jackson, and return specialist Cordarrelle Patterson to Orlando for Sunday’s game at Camping World Stadium.

Undisclosed injury? He's breaking down.

The clock is ticking.

If you're gonna take 16 games off what's another one in the grand scheme?

Also..

Just trying to help you out, which then helps everybody out. I will say this again to you for the final time; There is zero need to start a new thread for every player or move or Bears idea you have. Sure, some warrant hitting the new topic button. However MANY of your ideas can easily be put into an existing thread-- like the one jbills listed. This is evidenced by the fact that about half of your threads on this front page have less than 10 replies.

Well deserved shoutout. I'm very happy he is on the Bears even though many non-Bears fans seem to think I shouldn't be happy about it.

Another game Smith won't have to worry about stopping the run.

Obviously Smith added no value: mediocre to bad defense throughout the season then they got decimated last week. No presence, no one game plans for him, and he's only thought of when better options decline invitations. Will be an albatross sooner rather than later. Gotta feel for the Pack. Gonna look like an atrocious 2021 with all the false hope and the crushing knowledge then when you really think about it the team is trash.

They played 18 games and won 14 of them. This trash talk doesn't resonate coming from a Bears fan.

I've always given the Pack credit for crushing the Redskins, Giants, Lions, etc, on the way to that misleading 13 win season.

The crushed the division. 6-0. That's really all they need to do again next year and it probably won't be very tough.

I thought it was consensus around here that 2018 was a fluke and everybody should be fired

Funny that Patterson is going despite the Pro Bowl having no kickoffs. (I do think he was deserving.)

The consensus here is that 2019 was a fluke for the Packers too.

They were basically as good as the Packers this year.

Can't argue with Air (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky manning the QB spot for the Bears. Watch out for the patented four yard bomb to Miller. You'll have problem outside of the division though.

Except for the biggest game they played.

That is thrown two yards behind the LOS and Miller runs for 6 yards.

As a Packers fan I was good with it, not a lot of expectations coming into to the season.

Nope. The past two seasons were forgettable. This one was pretty nice. The two 49er games sucked but the four wins over the Vikings and Bears were very enjoyable, especially the 2nd win against the Vikings that clinched the division and won me $100 from Nas and IMU.

Preseason consensus was 3rd place behind Vikings and Bears. Exaggeration and hot takes galore regarding LaFleur and Rodgers relationship. Huge expectations for unheard of free agent spending.

Everything broke right and it was a great season.

Probably some regression next year but very excited for the next few years. Past few McCarthy years were stale and indifferent.
