I’m more sad that I thought I would be. When the news first broke I think I was just kind of in shock. It took an hour or two but I finally teared up watching and reading some of the stuff.

I don’t really have any thoughts right now about his legacy except that I’m sure I’ll be rewatching some of the early 2000’s battles with the Spurs in the coming days. Thankful so much of that is on YouTube.

Seemed he couldn't reach KB as much as he reached MJ. He had success with Kobe psychologically but it was more of a challenge than it was with Jordan. That's the gist of what I remember Phil saying when he threw up his hands at one point during the relationship after they already won again with Gasol.
