middle of the night I'm up thinking I gotta maintain a decent job until 67! I'm burnt out as it is. I'll probably get fired here shortly. I'm Willy Loman. nobody's going to hire an old man to sit around and post on CFMB all day.

I'm 7 years older than my wife. I'm probably working until I die at my desk.

or you could move to a mid-south city, get that cheaper cost of living, and actually still have things to do.

A position as JORR's butler could be a pretty sweet gig.

You could be his muscle for those unexpectedly contentious grocery shopping trips to Jewel.

It would be a Gentleman's Gentleman.

Remember how mad Mr. French used to get when someone referred to him as a butler. He would puff himself up and say, "I, sir, am not a butler. I am a Gentleman's Gentleman."

In Hatchet's case, "manservant" or "cabana boy" would probably be most appropriate. Definitely not "Gentleman's Gentleman".

$350k won't be enough to retire on and good luck expecting social security to pay out in 2043 the same way it pays out now.

It will. If any administration tries to tell 100 million people that all that money that came off their checks for 40 years means nothing and sorry it's gone .. yea, that will not end well for them.

Same as I have done in the past, even when I have insurance. Smoke dope like the Indians and if the sun god wants me to go then I go.

what are you going to do for health insurance Amigo?

I recall Sherrod Brown offering a compromise to the other healthcare plans being bandied about - lower the age for Medicare eligibility to 60. The idea seemed sort of appealing. Not a drastic change but one that could help millions wanting to retire but holding on purely for insurance. It would also help the younger workforce to a degree by opening up some higher paying jobs. I would venture that the insurance companies wouldn’t mind losing the upper end of their clientele either. I’m sure there’s reasons against it too but it seems like it would be a reasonable compromise.
