turned out the way a 18 vs 19 game should turn out. the 18, at home, wins by 7.

Illinois coaches were screaming at Iowa's team after the game over the weekend. It's lucky there wasn't a fight but hot headed Fran McCaffrey actually did a good job getting his team away before things went downhill further.

I saw that on the news this morning. Any idea what that was about?

I think Chin was hot because the kid threw down that last dunk when the game was virtually over. Fuck Iowa anyway. #BrucePearl #NeverForget

Iowa dunked the ball up 8 with 12 seconds to go after Illinois missed on fouling them. Illinois then hit a 3, called timeout, and tried to foul Iowa pretty hard but got no call because the refs just wanted to go home.

So then Illinois coaches started yelling at the Iowa players and Fran had to tell his team to walk off the court as to avoid a bigger confrontation.

There's 3 Big East teams better than any Big 10 team. That Maryland/Illinois game? it was a shitshow.

Great comeback falls just short.

Looked like a pretty major injury on that last play. Hope not, he played great

Guess he will be back next year. Illinois finds a way to be so Illinois.

If he is back next year and healthy, that team will be stacked. Like top 5 stacked.

But I hope it's not major. They could make an interesting run this year.

Alright, I'll just predict the worst case scenario.

Ayo's injury is pretty bad. He won't go pro but plans to come back strong next year.

Miller sees that and changes his commitment.

Ayo doesn't come back strong and next year's team doesn't have either of them.

I hope so. But I think he's keeping it open to be sure Ayo leaves.

I don’t think so. I think he was leaving it open to see if they either suck so bad he wouldn’t want to come here or that he blew up so big that he went super big time.

Brutal way to lose a game last night. Hope the injury isn't that bad and he's back this year.

Lifelong Illinois hater, but it's hard to hate this team the way they play.

I dunno. What makes them any different than any other power conference middling inconsistent team?
They could make a run in the tournament or they could get knocked out in game 1.

you are correct, they are no better than pretty much any team in the top 40 this year. But, I like the way they play. They're fun to watch. As a massive CBB fan, it sucks when any good player gets hurt.

Big win. The 6 shot clock violations in the second half were a bit frustrating, but a great win nonetheless.
