Yes, it would sure be convenient for a certain group of the population to believe in the horseshoe theory

The desire for a common political agenda is easily visible in both the far left, and the far right and is not a theory.

It plays out every day here.

You are seriously using Vox as a source? That is a joke.

It is pretty simple, he isn't right wing. His issue is with the Canadian government policing language.

Where I come from is reading and understanding history. You read trash like Vox and Slate and treat it like scripture.

I think when people start quoting far right or far left "news" sources, you realize the bubble they live in. Vox is left of CNN. It is 100% trash.

I'm a psychologist, not a philosopher, eh. Not to say I don't have a philosophy. I do. And when you start to realise how much of what you've constructed of yourself is based on deception and lies, that is a horrifying realisation.

But it's been a good day already. Mizz of Pizz got me a nice wakeup BJ, some woof-woof action, and I left the 'lil lady with the kind of pearl necklace that don't come from a clam this fine morning after the kids were off to school.

All of you need to stop SHINE-BLOCKING and work on yourselves. :drunken: :drunken: :sunny: :sunny:

It's a pretty well sourced piece. You fellas should give it a read.

It's simply a liberal leaning publication. I guess it's trash if you don't want to read a liberal perspective?

You can be liberal and still do your job. Matt Taibbi for instance. Vox is Fox News levels on conspiracy theory and sneering at the “other side”. This means everyone who isn’t in lockstep.

The article is awful. And Jordan Peterson has about zero influence on any of my beliefs.

Peterson believes that the individual person has dignity.

The far right and far left assume the identity of the groups they profess to belong to without acknowledging the natural dignity of the individual person

To just post what someone mischaracterizes as Peterson’s views is certainly not philosophical and borders on intentional and intellectual dishonesty.

Peterson is a philosopher. Take him or leave him. But calling him right wing is more than being intellectually dishonest. Dribs and drabs of out of context quotes is more than being intellectually dishonest.

It reeks of fear. When you make out a guy to be a boogeyman, and it's a lie.....

He's a psychologist:

Jordan Bernt Peterson (born June 12, 1962) is a Canadian clinical psychologist and a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto. His main areas of study are in abnormal, social, and personality psychology,[1] with a particular interest in the psychology of religious and ideological belief[2] and the assessment and improvement of personality and performance.[3]

Peterson has bachelor's degrees in political science and psychology from the University of Alberta and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from McGill University. He was a post-doctoral fellow at McGill from 1991 to 1993 before moving to Harvard University, where he was an assistant professor in the psychology department.[4][5] In 1998, he returned to Canada to become a faculty member in the psychology department at the University of Toronto, where he eventually became a full professor.[6]

He's a clinical psychologist by trade. He didn't nose his way into Bill C-16 as a psychologist. He didn't get famous as a psychologist.
