I liked the Black Widow trailers but how many times over the past 70 years has Hollywood told the origin story of secretly trained Russian super spy? How about the last 5 years...and at least I got to see Jennifer Lawrence naked in the last one?

It's definitely different, but that's life when you grow up and have kids. This and Songs From Black Mountain are fantastic. Not Throwing Copper or anything, but I really like them.

I was told by several people emphatically to never watch the first one. With a demanding that I teals never watch it. I think only a Serbian Film has gotten such a reaction from people I know. So I am betting the Gunn version won’t be as bad.

For about 30-40min Suicide Squad was enjoyable.

Then they got on the helicopter.

It wasn’t anywhere near Ledger/Phoenix, but I didn’t think it was the worst thing ever.

Would’ve liked to have seen the original director’s cut shown to WB execs before they butchered it to death taking out almost all the Joker/Harley scenes.

I don't understand the bad press. I thought generally it was an enjoyable movie. It was better than Suicide Squad.

I assume Margot Robbie doesn't have the ass to wear those short shorts anymore because they put her in jorts.

Using a line like "I only steal from stupid, rich, white people" isn't a joke on its own. It really shouldn't be tolerated by the social justice warrior crowd either, unless you think justice is assaulting people because of a demographic they populate by birth.

It wasn't even true in the movie as the very next seen showed an Indian shop owner from whom she had stole.

I know, I know "white people will be fine." Is that really the end game though? Isn't it some kind of objective equality?

Also, this time the sentiment is being uttered by an Asian girl, as if she has some generational claim to harm from whitey.

Replace white in that quote with any other demographic and the writers would be keelhauled by society.

I'm not damaged by the stupid, non sequitur line but I do see it popping up all over the place in entertainment.

Finally, the actual writers of the dialogue should be ashamed of their work for the gratuitous language. Pretty much every character is highly educated and/or raised in an upper class setting except for the kid. That dialogue did not seem true to the characters and did nothing to enhance some feeling in the movie.

Weak sauce, especially for a comic book movie.
