I don't doubt that those preppy frat boys did exactly what you say. I just don't see any reason to think "Devil's Triangle" specifically was anything but what he claimed.
The problem with your logic is that we all know what it means now, and it likely was that way for a long time. In fact, you seemingly didn't know the term at all so if anything there is no reason to believe he happened to have had a drinking game. Combine that with the "Renate Alumni" story and I think it's fair to question if he was telling the truth or not.

The guy was accused of rape and they started looking into everythying he did and said in college. It makes sense he would downplay the stuff that while having nothing to do with rape could be used by people trying to paint him as a misogynist.


We were in high school around the time you were born. It wasn't a thing.

Your 1st statement is correct but the 2nd isn't even close. I don't know anyone who took him seriously as an electable candidate. When he floated the idea it was pretty obvious his ego had gotten the best of him.

Just Googled it and I was wrong. He polled at 2%. Politico and others were happy to remind us that was higher than Trump. Based on the number of articles it appears that someone at Politico put some money on him.
