I heard they just filmed at the section 8 housing in DeKalb where MANY of the Cabrini Green residents were gentrified to.

they filmed in Cabrini at Halsted and Chicago and at UIC before UIC took down the anti-rioting walkways the goofy bowl near the 6 lecture halls.
