That's why I'm buying my own ticket.

I am committed to state basketball tourney that weekend, but if plans change, I'll make the trip.

In the lower bowl, that’s a great price.

The Sox had to buy a lot more fireworks for this season.

I don't know that I would call it a "great" price. Certainly a fair price.

I think the cheapest ticket in the building is $7 for a nosebleed, but then you take the chances of not being able to access the lower level depending on how fake tough the ushers want to be that day.

Opening weekend? I think they'll be on their toes for that one.

the place will be a ghost town until May after Opening Day. JR won't even bother to pay for people to check tickets

Sat and Sun of Opening Weekend will largely depend on weather. If its cloudy and 38 degrees during our outing, 20K fans would be a small miracle. Even with a decent promo item.

Decent weather weekends will draw decent crowds. If the Sox get off to a good start and are in/near first place into May, that will also likely draw decent crowds.

I agree that the early season weekday games are very likely to have sparse attendance.

The good news is the Shamrock Shuffle is the weekend prior....that's always a guarantee for 38 degrees and rain.

if it's 50 degrees and partly sunny, I'll take that as a gift....here's hoping.

I have a Dr.'s appointment for a couple of test the morning of the 28th, but they are trying to move them to the 14th. If I don't hear anything by mid next week, I may try to reschedule. I'm still IN, but just wanted to let you all know.

Wouldn't an Upper Decker be more appropriate for a Sox game?

Sure sounds like it. Hopefully Ma Nature will cooperate. Even a temp near 50 with some sunshine and low winds will be nice. I don't need a perfect 70 degree day for game #2 of the season.

Please don't Politic up this thread, but is anybody seriously concerned about Coronavirus and considering not attending the game? I still plan to go provided fans are allowed to attend.

Nah, not a concern. I also have my first 'on the glass' Blackhawks game this Friday, which is awesome, but even with worse tickets I wouldn't consider bailing. Just have to live your life, wash your hands and hope that when you eventually catch it, you've lived a healthy enough live to that point so that your immune system can do its job.

Agreed. The only thing I hope is that the Sox let people carry in small containers of sanitizer. Thats about the only extra thing I would do.
