If you are a business that can show a 2019 Q4 payroll statement has 50 or fewer employees, the US Government will guarantee any loan made to that business up to 50k that is later discharged in bankruptcy.

I mean maybe the parameters are different, but it gets money into the hands of small businesses to-fucking-day, and gives lenders incentive to do so.

I'm not saying what I suggested is a magic bullet, or the end all be all of solutions, but it's way better than the payroll tax cut, and it was just something I thought of on the shitter 5 minutes ago.

I calculated the lost wealth of the CEO of an insurance company I used to work for. I own the stock still, so it hit home with how much it is down. This guy has lost 250 million over the past few weeks. But to your point, he still has 500 million just in stock. He also owns a home on the 18 green of Pebble Beach.

I had to go way up to Skokie around that time and listened to Limbaugh for amusement. Around noon he was taking credit for the midday bounce. I thought he was kidding until his nitwit callers started giving him and themselves credit for it for almost ten minutes. Then it predictably swung back down and he was talking up confidence in the market by saying that it's still well above 2008 levels.

Even the commercials in that time slot sound angrily insane.
