Are they letting you go into your yard/driveway alone during this time? Or strictly inside?

And for driving to C-U, are you a 294-57 guy, a 355-80-57 guy, or a bumblefuck over the pipelines south of New Lenox and avoid the Interstate as long as possible guy?

I lived at Bromley my first year and then apartments.

Technically, I’m not under quarantine. My wife is. The “official” direction is that I need to stay 6-feet away from her which I’m sure she is totally cool with.

As a socially responsible person, I’m putting myself and the kids under quarantine as well because I think it’s stupid that it is only her.

I’m a 355 guy now but when I went I took some kind of 47 route and then past a power plant that spit me out around Dwight.

I had two weeks at Bromley right before my freshman year going to an academic recruitment camp, the math department was trying to poach freshman from other departments. Lots of fun having the campus to yourself, but low ROI for the department. Then I lived at FAR after that, because I wanted air conditioning. I lived North suburbs so it was 94 to 57, stop for a piss break at IL 17.

I missed the dorm talk. It was PAR for me, 2 1/2 years. Then we rented houses in Urbana. I worked in the PAR cafeteria throughout all 4 years.

Funny. When I was in the six pack, there was one special day when you had the option of steak or lobster. Fortunately I had steak. Many kids got sick from the tainted lobsters.

Six pack for me as well. Went down recently, I think Hopkins is the only one left. It looks old and dilapidated compared to the new replacements.

No more Illini Orange where the mail boxes were. I also used to study in the carrels under Garner.

Do you remember the guys in Forbes who had the Christmas tree lights strung along and entire first floor hallway and were running light shows off of a TRS-80? This would have been maybe 84 or 85?

So it's possible we may have met briefly back then two friends of mine lived in Forbes and ran that display. That's actually how I met them, they were in classes with some of my CompE friends and I went with them to see the display.

My freshman year, my girlfriend's best friend was dating a guy living elsewhere in FAR. He didn't get a D average his first semester, and his parents were notified by certified mail to come get his stuff before the second semester started. 59 students on the floor plus the RA, 9 were informed to go away in that manner. Just so many kids who had no idea what the fuck they were doing with that much freedom, and spent it all at once.

I spent fall of 84 in Hendrick House. I was a basketball player at Parkland.

I met a similar fate. I wasn't getting as much playing time as I expected...wasn't happy...ended up ineligible for 2nd semester basketball. So I went home.

What would have been my sophomore year there...JUCO National Champs. FML

I knew a couple of people in my program who did two or three semesters at Parkland before transferring in. I think both of them were out of state or international who spent the year acclimating and establishing Illinois residency so they could apply as an in-state transfer student. One was a Turkish guy whose visa didn't let him have a job, so he delivered pizzas on Saturday and Sunday nights and got paid in food/groceries and tips.

Scared the hell out of me for a minute. I started scanning my memories.

I watched the Cubs lose to the Giants while sitting in the Orange. Thought it was the Padres, but I think I was in high school for that one.

Glad we didn't meet; I was in bad shape.
