When did he try to persuade anyone? He's issuing mandates like a king. There was no real public appeal. He offered rough guidelines to constituents and when they said "fuck you" he got angry like the rich brat he is and threw a temper tantrum. Guys like Pritzker aren't used to not getting their way and they don't like it.

Of course, now other governors are able to issue proclamations of their own. In fact, if they don't, they stand to look bad if this thing really does spread like wildfire.

If thousands of people start getting sick anyway, then he's just destroyed a bunch of people economically on top of the health crisis. He doesn't know. He gave some basic guidelines based upon what he was hearing and when The People chose not to follow them he threw a fit.

I don't want Donald Trump to be a dictator. And I don't want JB Pritzker to be one either.

It was the correct decision to ultimately cancel schools too. I was explaining why both choices didn't happen at the same time. As I said, it was about the "importance" of the events being cancelled which was clearly something you didn't get.
