I was bored for a little while, but the ending was worth it.

The recreation of 1969 Hollywood streets, vehicles, and sets was outstanding.

Pitt and DiCaprio also killed it.

Was never impressed with DiCaprio...until this movie. I just never believed him in any role where he was hard scrabbled. Now I do.

There are 5 people in this theater other than me and my old lady.

I finally got around to watching this the last two days, because I had to wait a month to check it out from the library.

While I appreciate Tarantino's attempt to capture Hollywood in the 60s, the movie fails on a number of different levels. Most of all, the script is bad. Secondly, Leonardo's acting sucks. He over-acted the whole movie, so that his character was a caricature. When he was put in the Steve McQueen part in the Great Escape, it made me realize how weak of an actor he is compared to great actors like McQueen. I didn't feel like Margot Robbie was anyone other than Margot Robbie, when she was supposed to be Sharon Tate. In all fairness, no one could have played Sharon Tate. The Manson family story-line was nonsensical and didn't fit. Al Pacino and Brad Pitt were both ok. Many of the scenes were just boring and pointless, like the Tate character going to the theater to see herself. The flamethrower scene at the end was comical, that the woman just stood there in the pool and allowed herself to be shot with flames.

I doubt Tarantino will make another, because this one was so bad. If the script had not come from Tarantino, no studio would have made this film.

One star out of four, and really only for Pitt's performance.

We should just create a thread for all of Rube's terrible movie thoughts. They should all be consolidated in one place.

On Starz now.

So good.

Also, Rube’s movie thoughts are otherworldly bad.

Finally got around to seeing this one. As others have said, the ending is kick ass. Also, the Brad Pitt character is absolutely awesome. However, most of it is just Tarantino porn. How many scenes of people driving around listening to 1960's radio do we need? That being said, my father, who is 74, really geeked out on the late 60's vibes. Second tier Tarantino.

My parents also loved the set design and attention to 1960s era detail.

If it is 2nd tier Tarantino then it’s the best of that lot.

Agree with 312, Leo really brought it in this film.

Agreed with the above views. One of the best movies I've seen in the last five years.

Saw this movie last night with no information coming in.

What was the entire point of this movie? It rambled on and on. The plot was pretty stupid and introduced too late.

I later learned it was about the Manson murders.

What I did like was how they created 1969 and the entire Hollywood scene. The way they made Brad Pitt look was exceptional. He looked just like a guy would look in 1969.

So was this like Inglorious Bastards where it was a fantasy about changing history? I liked that movie and it was cool to see Hitler get killed but in this movie, I really didnt give a shit about Tate and Polanski. Why should I care for some nose in the air Hollywood douchebags.

So all this was was a pat on hollywood's own back on how they can recreate a different era when they have enough budget.

I liked the acting and the recreation of that era but as a movie with story and plot, it was weak.

3/5 Stars.

Because Tate was stabbed to death while pregnant, all the while begging them not to so her baby could live.
