If he threw 30 TDs and 30 INTs this year for Chicago then we're in the playoffs. Mitch had 9 yards twice at halftime this year. No reason for sticking with him as starter.

Again, I am not calling for mitch to be the starter. I am good with replacing him, but I don't see Winston as a good choice.

Even with the INTs there's nothing numbers wise or eye test wise that says Mitch is a better option than Winston. Someone will come along and say Mitch doesn't throw INTs. The answer is yes he doesn't throw to the other team. He also doesn't throw to his own team.

Only if he loses a competition. Can't upset his psyche.

You're focused on volume numbers. Winston threw the ball nearly 650 times. His QB rating and completion percentage wasn't good. It was actually down from where it had been in previous years.

Even so he was fathoms more productive than Mitch. You've got nothing.

Was he really? Let's say he was last year. What about 2018? Despite elite tools around him he's been disappointing his entire career.

Let me be clear, I'm fine with giving Cam or Brady the job and I'm fine with bringing anyone else but Dalton in to compete for the job.

The same offer Carolina made with the condition that he has to compete with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky for the job this year.

I think the Bears offering another quarterback $60M is a good indication that they don't want (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to come back next season.

Couldn't agree more, if he's afraid of a competition..he's no confident enough to lead this team.

Was it kurt Warner who said no because he didn't want to compete with rex grossman?

He was bitten by a spider on his throwing hand the week before he was supposed to work out for the Bears.

How many passes did he throw in those games? How was the offensive line in those games? How many yards did the running backs get in those games?

And, WHY is that? His pass percentage isn't all that bad. So why aren't the Bear's throwing more passes? COuld it be that their quarterback doesn't have any time to throw the ball. Or do you think that he has a lot of time to throw but just doesn't? Is our offensive line swell and our tight end position very good? Do our running backs catch the ball well in their responsibilities?

Do the Bears make the play-offs last year with Winston as their quarterback? Or how about any other guy out there that they can afford to sign or trade for?

He objectively is bad at completing passes to wide open and marginally covered receivers.

I never said he was amazing. I've been very consistent about Winston: he is better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. By far.

It just comes down to who's the best available QB you can get under center. If Winston is out there then he's simply better. That says more about (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky than it does about Winston. Both options are not ideal but Winston sucks less than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. I like QBs who understand the basic concept of a forward pass.

I forgot who posted this but this had to have been the Bears not being serious about Bridgewater. Just a blurb to put out there that they offered him 20 million a year to try and appease the fans.

Objectively looking at actual data says that you are wrong when it comes to Bridgewater, Dalton and Winston.

Winston is better but on the downside he is a rapist. Maybe Virginia has totally checked out.

Data and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky don't mix well. I'd avoid that route if I were you. Stick to your "he had some great drives in the second quarter against Dallas" talking point.
