My job is fine, even better that we are supposed to stay within our “areas”, and no air travel. Unfortunately, stuck for a third straight night in Ann Arbor due to an unforeseen equipment failure that I am waiting on parts for.

Michigan sucks.

I'll tell you something though, this whole virus thing couldn't have come for me at a better time workwise. Been swamped the last few months and recently had a string of depositions and hearings that left me with a pile of unattended work gathering on my desk. This whole break from court has really given me some quality time to play catch up.

On the flipside, this whole virus thing couldn't have come at a worse time for me right now as I'm trying to close on my new house 3/30. As of right now the county is open, but that could change at any moment. if county closes and we can't get transfer tax situated, we can't close. I've got movers coming 3/29. I've got DTV coming 3/31 to the new house. Gonna get internet in there as well if I can, but I can see a scenario where we move into the house and then have no cable/internet for a while.

tello 25GB/month plan is $40. You can buy a $100 motorola cell phone and turn it into a hotspot (tello allows it).

Still going to work, like a dumb ass.

There is not enough work for the mechanics, they are being asked if they want to go home. Use PTO or have the option to take unpaid time. Last week, the Chicago region mechanics were at 25% of idle time. They were burning up online training since there were not trucks to work on. Now, that training has been competed and there is still no work. :|

I am going to bring up closing the building to the public. It is only a matter of time until an employee or customer brings THE RONA into our building. If it isn't in the building already. Oof.

I'd prefer going to the office if given a choice. We weren't. Some normalcy would be nice about now.

Structured settlements are issued to individuals who settle a lawsuit as an alternative to large compensatory lump sums. Receiving regular payments from a structured settlement can be helpful in managing your expenses, however, there are times when you need your money now, perhaps because of an unexpected bill or other significant expense, and the payments you currently have from your structured settlement aren’t cutting it. We can purchase all or part of your future structured settlement payments to provide you with a lump sum of cash to help you meet your goals.

BUMP.

A couple weeks later, same question.

I'm still at the office. been wearing the same Sweatsedo every day for the past 2 weeks. Place is a ghost town. Not too many calls coming in from clients, but still getting things done with insurance adjusters and other attorneys. Actually settling a lot of cases lately. The issue is gonna be in 9-10 months when the cases we would've signed up over the past month would've been ready to settle.

Gonna head downtown to file some things at Thompson Center tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how empty the place is.

Still going. Actually still busy and a lot of customer phone calls. Most of the projects are all things that were going when 'rona started shutting stuff down though. Not a ton of new stuff coming in, which is a bad sign for how things might look in a month.

Entire company is only 15-ish people. When this all started, owner said we were all good through April, except no overtime allowed. May 1st, we'll see how things look.

Still working from home.

Another 30 days of this may cause me to reach pittmike levels of drinking though.

It's a brewing shit show because the courts are essentially closed until the middle of May. Nobody knows what the fuck to do.
