He started by telling Greenberg that he has become the face of ESPN. He then caught himself by saying the success of the radio show was due to the advantage created by the brand.

Missed the show, and it's not yet racked up for replays. But hey! Found that Dave Baum does a weekly show, there. Ho-hoo!

I meant the MNM shitfest sucked. I didn't waste time listening to his "Wayne's World" web show.

Ok, got to download the rebroadcast.

No WONDER the got rid of him. He rallies about CBS radio "stepping on" the little guy, then states he made 1.7 million.

Hey North, you aren't a little guy. You could of paid your production staff out of your pocket, like a lot of radio guys did and do. YOU SUCK!!!!

I would of listened live, but the signal kept going out, since, "you knows, we blew da servers out. Never happened before in Los Angeles. Wat? Did dat happen elsewherez?"

The Good
1. Spaceball. I always liked the guy. He has a personality that is highly underutilized on air.
2. Free (according to Be) advertising that Mike gave out to businesses for the show.
3. Calling out the old bosses. The reasoning was flawed, but I like bridge burning trainwrecks.

The Bad
1. Jiggs. Is there anything entertaining or thought provoking in anything he says? Boring.
2. Be's laugh. I think her IQ is in low teens.
3. Spin on ratings.
4. The term "sponsors." Hate it.

The Ugly
1. Mike slurping Greeny.
2. Jen slurping Mike.
3. Mike elevating Jen into a trinity that includes his mother and wife.
4. Too many mentions of being "taken under the wing." Sounded like a bad mob movie.

Holy Shit! Did my computer break into a wireless phone call?

Not that I already did not know this, but Mike's biggest fans:

1. Mike North
2. Mike North
3. Bebe
4. Mike North
5. Jen Patterson

SIMPLE QUESTION FOR MIKE: If you have all these offers, why are you doing a webcast?

This show reminds me of the episode of The Simpsons when Sideshow Bob forces Springfield to cancel all television under threat of blowing up a nuclear bomb, and then Krusty, so desperate for any last shred of the spotlight, starts broadcasting via EBS at some shack out in the desert. Sponsor reads shoehorned in like "The Stingy and Battery Show!"

14,000 emails? The spam folder doesn't count, Mike.

I've (fortunately) never heard her before, but I imagine her sounding like one of Mayor Quimby's girlfriends.

The Harry Cary bit was one of the worst. Then, Bebe and Mike talking about how

"He just can't stop doing it."

Yeah, no shit. Harry died ten freakin' years ago. That means that many of the 18-24 crowd have a vague memory of him.

Beyond this, I think the entertainment value will be watching "Da Nort fanz" cry/bitch/moan that he's no longer on the air; and to see how long it will take for Mike to melt down.

I'm almost embarrassed for him. THIS IS IT. The TV and RADIO deals are bullshit. The one offer he has is his own web casts and the irony is he knows nothing about it and he belittled it for years.

Jen has more stones than anyone in radio? Fuck off.

It's all about the listeners? Why not make sure the listeners can hear the entire show instead of having it drop out every two minutes?

They dropped countless callers within the first half hour - including David Spada. I've heard better production from a high school radio station.

Holy shiznit... this show was just BAD. Honestly, it sounds like a guy (more like a girl) who just had his girlfriend dump him and then he's trying to justify why it was his idea in the first place.

He also claims Mamola is making under 30k per year. Really?? If it is under 30k, get out of sports radio... that is just bad.

You're correct. Not like he doesn't own a tape of himself to submit for future employment. Why is he having trouble sleeping (Playing Golden Tee at 1am) if he has those solid offers? The way he comes off is like he's in the drivers seat. Doesn't sound like it at all.
His webcast show was terrible. Some "Show for the fans" yesterday. An awful lot of praise towards his sponsors and good friends.

I listened to bits and pieces of this podcast last night... as I was going to sleep.

First time I ever heard him talk about how the ratings system was flawed. I knew he has been giving that argument for years, since I read this board and hear everyone recap it. For someone who did not listen to this morning show a whole lot (because it was that bad), this webcast was a gosh awful waste of air time.

I truly believe this will be the last time we hear him. He has nothing else going for him, which is why he did this webcast in the first place. He is finished, and this webcast was him going out kicking and screaming.
