Our late-night diner after the bars closed was a place that only served RC that the waitress would bring the can to you tucked in her armpit, the bathroom was literally a broom closet with a light hanging on a wire and the light didn't work, but the food was fantastic.

I don't consider the food at Waffle House fantastic - unless they put a double-breaded cheeseburger on the menu.

Chili’s, Friday’s and Applebee’s are awful. When I lived in Montana my father in law was coming for a visit and my wife asked locals what was a nice place to eat.. we had been there only a few weeks. WHen she reported to me one acquaintance suggested Applebee’s I told her that she was never to listen to that person again.

Of the places on that list, I have only eaten at McDonalds, Waffle House, and Olive Garden

There are only two examples of infinity: The universe and human stupidity and I'm not sure about the universe.

And Applebee’s and longhorn and I’m tapped out. Longhorn was outside of Iowa city while driving to Omaha. It was not good but I’d say better than the chili’s, Applebee’s and fridays that I’ve had. Better than fast food too which I knew I’d have a dozen time over the next week in rural Nebraska, Iowa And Missouri.

One of the original owners of the company I work for was an older, very older man. He'd go out to lunch every day with his regular group to various places.

But, when those people weren't available, I'd go with him and he and I would always go to Olive Garden because none of his regular group would eat there and he loved that place.

Claim Company is okay. Their fajitas are decent for a franchise. I’ve only ever been to the one in Ver on Hills, but they have a really good selection of local beers from Lake County on tap...even that Kings and Convicts swill. Plus they have this ice cream pie dessert thing they make with Homer’s Ice Cream.

I thought Zaxbys was far superior to a chick-fil-a.

Waffle House is legit, although using it as a tool to pick on Hawg is always permitted. It’s one of my favorite activities.

The rest of that list can be crammed on a diseased cruise ship and sunk by the navy.

I had seen Zaxby's through their NASCAR sponsorship so when we were in Tennessee, I thought we should all go try this.

I didn't get it. It wasn't great. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but none of the family was impressed.

That was my reaction as well. I was at a conference with a client who had lived in the south and insisted on going there for lunch. A waste.

We used to go to the Rusty pelican all the time. Saw a mug at good will and regret not buying it. You guys are naming all of my daughter's favorite restaurants. There are things I can order at all of them. There is no place I hate more than TGIFs though.
