I actually had a friend that climbed the water tower and painted "Billy Bob loves Charlene" (real names changed).

I always think of that when I hear John Deere Green.

This was about 5 years before this song came out.

Would have been really cool if their names were actually Billy Bob and Charlene

"Billy John"? I've been exposed to many name combos. I dare say almost all in the English language. I've never heard that one.

He went by "Billy John"?

At home....no cheap liquor, so drinks are neat.

Yeah.. usually just Bill now but he is known as Billy John. I’m not sure why, he is probably pushing 65-70 years old I’d guess. Don’t know if his dad was Bill so middle name was added as a differentiator or if a bunch of bills in the one room school house or what.

Ice if it’s a cocktail for sure though.

Well... I guess depends on cocktail.

I can see the point in someone not wanting to water down the good stuff. Sometimes I do like it a little chilled. So bottle in fridge or the plastic sealed cubes I guess?

When I was in Dublin last fall, there was a suggestion made, specifically with Powers Irish Whisky, to add a few splashes of chilled water instead of ice...it opened a bit of a flavor profile that made a difference when trying back to back.

Lived next door to a remarried white lady in Chicago decades ago. Pretty sure she was from the south.

Unicorporated Wheaton is like Bugtussle dropped into the middle of DuPage.

Celebrated my 40th over the weekend. Had to cancel a bourbon trail trip so I brought Kentucky to us.

Gave my bourbon guy some cash and we had a hell of a line up

Blanton’s
Blanton’s Gold
Blanton’s straight from the barrel
Cream of Kentucky
Old Fitzgerald 2018 9 year
George T Stagg 2019

Turned 40 right.

Weird thing about the south was that white women occasionally had names you only heard on black women elsewhere. But I've never met a white guy with names otherwise heard on black guys. I've always wondered why.

I have never understood the obsession with what is on somebody else's plate or in somebody else's glass.

If I have my scotch over a bit of ice and put ketchup on my hotdog and you dislike one or both, why would you fucking care are long as your drink and meal were made to your own liking?

I agree completely except when I watched this Indian chick put 10 packets of sweet and low into a styrofoam cup for a coffee. Probably the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.

Being a decade plus older, bourbon was cheap stuff when I was coming of age. I still have an aversion to the brand's mentioned above. Names on bottles that were gathering dust on old man bars in the seventies and eighties

One I came across a few times in both races was Lonnie. Assumed that was south as well. I also used to be confused about the genus of that name. Like if Ronnie is Ronald why is Lonnie Lonald.

My grandma had a German cousin Leroy, too. They lived in the trailer park that the plane crash in 79 happened.

Same reason why people worry about who is fucking who or what.
