Same reason why people worry about who is fucking who or what.

Celebrated my 40th over the weekend. Had to cancel a bourbon trail trip so I brought Kentucky to us.

Gave my bourbon guy some cash and we had a hell of a line up

Blanton’s
Blanton’s Gold
Blanton’s straight from the barrel
Cream of Kentucky
Old Fitzgerald 2018 9 year
George T Stagg 2019

Turned 40 right.

Being a decade plus older, bourbon was cheap stuff when I was coming of age. I still have an aversion to the brand's mentioned above. Names on bottles that were gathering dust on old man bars in the seventies and eighties

I’m normally cheap and drink what’s easiest. Felt like doing it up right for the guys with everyone trapped up with families. We sat in a parking lot till about 330 am at the neighborhood clubhouse until we all stumbled home.

Lived next door to a remarried white lady in Chicago decades ago. Pretty sure she was from the south.

Weird thing about the south was that white women occasionally had names you only heard on black women elsewhere. But I've never met a white guy with names otherwise heard on black guys. I've always wondered why.

I knew a German Leroy, but I am sure he's long gone, he would be about 100 now.

Plenty of Leroys over the years. Or maybe it’s because it was my wife’s half brother’s dad is a Leroy and it influences my thoughts on that.. the older dudes around here have names like Laverne and Francis.

I had an Aunt Charlene and an Aunt Gladys on the same side of the family.

Hotdogs are a kids' meal anyway. It's ridiculous that people get all hoity-toity when you are talking about eating a fucking hotdog. Yeah- I put ketchup on my hotdog when I eat them once every couple years. Who the fuck seriously says "I want a hotdog."? There is ALWAYS a better choice.

Same thing with booze- drink what you want. I hate pompous, condescending asses who get their feeling of superiority because of what they eat or drink. Fuck off!

You are correct, but then again....don't hate on a good opportunity for same friendly ball-busting.

What does it run up there? I’ve seen it down here from 65 - 120 for the same bottle. This goof at our local store keeps them in back as if that justifies him charging double

The last time I bought a bottle (around 2 years ago), I think I paid $70. I haven't seen it on a shelf since that time.

My grandma had a German cousin Leroy, too. They lived in the trailer park that the plane crash in 79 happened.

DW and her mom lived there at that time too.

DW doesn't remember it, she wasnt even 2 yet, but her brother (I'm trying to remember if you met him when he was in town a few years back, we went to a sox game) remembers it clearly. He tells stories about the train of debris that was only a hundred yards from their place.

Can we get Abbott Labs to test this? They can do it quickly.

Sheltering in place will have that effect. I was one and done yesterday. Maybe two.

While we are on the topic of conspiracy I’m open to the possibility this is a theological chastisement. I know it’s entirely shaped by rum and my upbringing. At the same time Pope Francis sure seemed to have a knowing and frightened look on his face on Friday.

I thought the Pope had it for sure a couple weeks ago when they talked about his illness.

Jesus saves.

How are you doing Mass these days, gd.

I've been doing the ABC Sunday morning mass. I could get used to that.

Oddly I got sent the transcript of his words by a friend early Saturday. The same thought was apparent from the Pope.
