This sucks. Everyone knows Fountains Of Wayne and That thing You Do, but he was also in IVY, who are also great.
Adam was a well known chain smoker, so that probably had something to with it.

This one sucks a lot. Fountains of Wayne is a pretty important band to me, one of the first bands I really got into obsessively tracking down the whole back catalogue for, really helped me bond with my one-that-got-away back in high school. Ivy was a hell of a side project, too, very much FoW-meets-Stereolab. And then he did music for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, too! Hell of a run. Still sucks.
