Would love to find a starting LT in the second round, but that's highly unlikely although you almost have to take one because there is no depth at OT on the roster.

Ezra Cleveland might be there at 43. That'd be a solid pick

I do not see any way in the world they draft a RB in the 2nd round.

They have to use one of those to draft OL. I would love to see them trade down and maybe pick up a 3rd.

But I don't have a lot of faith in that.

LOL, there NO way we draft a RB in the 2nd round. OL and WR or CB will be picks 43 and 50.

Foles required an opt-out after one year in order to agree to the deal.

Yup. No sacrifice was too great for him to get the fuck out of Chicago as soon as he could

Not surprising. If he ends up being the back up to (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, he will want out after this year. In his mind he believes that he should be the starter somewhere.

Doubt there will be a real QB competition, Nagy is surrounding Foles with coaches he's worked with before, they still need to take another shot at drafting a franchise QB.

You know had they just waited they could've had Clowney instead of Quinn.

They dont want to sell out Mitch publicly because despite being pretty bad (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has put the work in and said the right things, but this feels like its already been decided. Foles will take the opt-out no matter what happens, either he'll want out of Chicago or he'll want a massive pay raise.

The move for Foles, in an off-season that has otherwise been abysmal, has become this kind of wild card that can make every other deficiency the Bears have moot. If he comes in and does his Big Dick Nick thing he can basically will them to a Super Bowl title. He has done it before. But the odds of this team being an utter disaster are remarkable. They are an old and decaying roster.

They could probably still get Clowney if they wanted to, honestly.

They could. He's reduced his demands by more than 10%

I mean the obvious best way to spend that money is on Trent Williams.

Can they convince the Redskins to take back Leno or Massie?

They are no rosterable NFL players, so no.

They have money to absorb his contract but I'm not sure you can just have the type of dead money that Leno and Massie makes sitting on your books if you aren't going to play them.

Well the options are dead money or dead season. The Bears ceiling with those two starting, bear in mind one year older and one year worse than they were last year (when they were two of the worst starters in football), is six wins.

Clowney is already rumored to re-sign with Seattle or go to Tennessee. Highly doubt he comes here.

Of course he's not, I'm just preparing myself to be pissed off when he signs for less than Robert Quinn.

Why? Clowney is nothing special. He is over hyped, injury prone and a bad locker room presence. I am happy paying a little more for Quinn.

Somehow Clowney has gone from overrated to underrated in a span of 12 months.

He's really good. Not sure about the bad locker room presence either, haven't heard that.

I have. Lots. Many Texans spoke out about him. I also have no desire to be excited about a guy with 12 sacks in his last 28 games. I stand by paying a little more for Quinn.

He was a force of nature for Seattle. He finally realised his immense talent, but I do understand why teams are reticent to pay the guy. It reeks of one-year wonder.

Still, compared to Robert Quinn? The only way you'd take Quinn is by scouting the stat sheet.

Absolutely right on. No matter who is the Bears quarterback this season, it doesn't mean shit if the do not fix the offensive line. I don't want to hear about Foles fixing the offense and that somehow Leno and Massie will "get better" and a few people have said or that the fact that these two blobs of shit are signed so they will start no matter what. If they are the starter next season, they will be worse than last years team offensively.

If you are in the mood to watch some football, you can watch the entire game vs. Rams in December, 2018. Solid win.
