Sadly Zawaski seems to have survived so my WSCR grave dancing will be contained merely to Julie DiCaro. I guess we shouldn't get greedy.

I will say this about Zawaski though, he very conspicuously did not wish DiCaro well. So maybe he finally grew a pair?

don't understand the love* for Schuster. He had just as many weird speech affectations as McDoink and similarly had nothing interesting to say. I guess he wasn't on 3 hours a day which helped reduce the intolerance. As Bernstein would say, "just a guy", replacement-level anchor.

*on-the-radio wise, not having-employment

Schuster knew his Bull basketball history. been covering them longer than most of these chumps have been alive.

He wasn't a smug jerkoff like almost eveyone else so that could explain it.

He's a fine fill in host and update person.

Schuster goes back to the SportsPhone days like Les and Fred Huebner and Shorty George. He has a good sense of humor, knows the Bulls, could deal with all sorts of people (I presume that Rosie got whacked), and seemed like a nice guy.

Of all the announced departures, that one is the saddest to me.

What is wrong with Zawaski? You root for people getting fired?

Ol Schue Mouse, despite his gay nick name, is a made man. Seeing him clipped is symbolic. And yes while he had affectations and grated on the ears, he was a great sport who didn’t take himself too seriously. McDoink actually believes he possesses high level intelligence.

Zawaski, he’s solid. I especially like how I rarely hear him

Not a fan of Connor trying to get to the end of a question, but he'd be fine in a more structured role. Pre-game host for the Sox or College sports might work, but nothing where he has to talk off the cuff or interview someone..

I don't know what DeCastro saw in Connor, but it seemed to me that at least part of his allure was that he was just liberal enough and just enough of a sycophant to Bernstein to act as a jumping off point for Dan without accentuating his more radical tendencies like Goff did.

Connor would allow Dan to get himself to "this twitter thread from schmutzie shows how Evil and Not Okay Addison Russel is" all day long, but it would be a much tougher road to get Connor to discuss tonight's Sixers-Jazz match-up.

Connor is probably a decent guy. I know he's a little full of himself. Nobody loves Connor more than Connor. One of those types. He is single. He'll be fine.

Rick Camp also seemed like a decent guy. I feel bad for him cuz he has a wife and I think he has. Plus he was on a producer salary anyway.

Julie is evil. Let's be honest, it wasn't even a full time job. So her husband's money carried her anyway. With Cubs, Bulls, NFL and Depaul, she barely worked anyway. But I'm sure she's gonna make millions on that book of hers.

And the Doink/Bernstein pairing wasn't right many of you have said.

Connor joined Dan's love for baseball stats and metrics. Both of them got erections over them

Dan: Hey Connor, check out this stat. This guy is the only guy to do this...

Connor: That's awesome. I've got another baseball stat, once you tell this answer. Let me think about it during the break.

Fuck.

That really does sum it up.

I do think Julie is different from the rest. She simply wasn't that professional in her preparation for the job. Her Saturday show was beyond amateurish. I always got the feeling she had her eye on something else. Sports radio was a placeholder to show she was an industry trailblazer when presenting herself to a wider community.

He is so fake. He should probably have been an actor if he didn’t look like a mini troll.
